Singing Himalaya

Singing Himalaya We sell a beautiful range of superior quality Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Buddhas & more from our little shops in Steyning.

We also hold monthly Sound Baths in East and West Sussex. Singing Himalaya is a beautiful hut (shop) in Cobblestone Walk, Steyning, at the foot of the South Downs. We specialize in Tibetan Singing Bowls, or Himalayan bowls as they are sometimes known and are proud to stock exceptional quality Tibetan Singing Bowls straight from Nepal and India. We have a beautiful range from the traditional Hand B

eaten, to top quality Machine Made, as well as Aluminium bowls. All our bowls come with a playing stick, silk or felt cushion and instructions on how to play at home. Singing bowls not only look beautiful, they create incredible sounds when tapped with a stick and then played around the edge. This is quite an experience as the sound and vibrations carry across the air, with soothing tones designed to put you in a deep state of relaxation. We also have a beautiful collection of top quality brass Buddha statues, Indian God and Goddess statues, Tibetan Prayer Wheels as well as many more unique items. Along with our metal products we are proud to support young people living in the Himalayas who hand craft unique macramé jewellery with crystals, including Lapis Lazuli and Tibetan Turquoise that we sell at very reasonable prices, while giving a fair wage to our friends in India. We have unique hand crafted necklaces, anklets, bracelets and headbands and most of our jewellery has no metal content, simply waxed thread and crystals. Each item is completely unique and they make beautiful gifts. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not sell on-line, instead our customers come to our shop directly, however if this is not possible, a telephone appointment can be made where I can play the bowl for you and also email pictures with details. Please come visit our lovely Temple Hut of Sound for a very different experience, come and learn how to play the bowls and see for yourself the magic of the bowls.

This week I saw Krishna Das live in London. He has been a huge inspiration to me for 20 years and is an amazing mantra singer. There's some fantastic videos on you tube for those who don't know who he is. Here's a snippet of this singing the Buddhist Abitabha Mantra.
