Can I cut a cat flap into double glazing❓

Double glazing works by having two panes of glass permanently sealed together with an insulating gap existing between them. If you cut into the glass it would break the sealed unit and cause the insulation to fail, and/or cause the glass to shatter or weaken significantly.
To install a cat flap into double glazing, we:
➡Measure the glass unit.
➡Manufacture a new made to order double glazed unit with a cat flap.
➡Toughen and seal the glass to create the double glazing unit.
➡Remove the old glass and replace with the new.
