A busy start to the week installing this bad boy of a 42-way double stacker! It was due an upgrade, but made sense as well as we needed some spare ways for new circuits. Fair bit of testing and tracking down what each circuit does on this one 🤔

We then ran some new feeds for the drawing room sockets, heaters, cellar sockets and pond pump. As previously it was all off one ring final circuit. Just too much for it - over 30 outlets on the old circuit!

We also ran a cat6 down to the cellar (sung) to provide some WiFi coverage via a new router.

Interesting project to install this cast iron lamppost. You may recall we installed another one of these for the same client a couple of years ago. They had another to put up in the back garden.

This one was a bit more involved as on further inspection of the post, the casting had cracks unfortunately. So we decided to try and weld and then plate the affected areas. Cast iron is notoriously hard to weld. Learnt quite a bit from doing this bit of cast welding, it is indeed very tricky!

Lamppost then rewired and then installed into place. Now controlled by a wireless switch along with app control to bring it into the modern world.

Has already generated 56kWh in 2 days since going live.

Can you just…

First this was just going to be an electrical supply to an outbuilding, but then the customer asked us to install water and waste water as well. No problem!

Soil pipe, 25mm water pipe and ducting ready for an electrical supply.
A nice gentle gradient for the waste pipe and an inspection chamber half way for maintenance in the future.

A little office project, sockets and lighting.
We also were tasked with getting an internet supply to the outbuilding. It was not possible to get a hard-wired connection, so we opted for a ‘wireless bridge’ from the farm house to get data to the office. Then from there a router to distribute the Wi-Fi.

Lots of outdoor projects on the go at the moment. Been lovely working in the sunshine 🌞.
These are a couple of jobs from the last week or so.
1) Power out to a riding school.
2) Power and data run out to an outbuilding office.
