Been rather busy lately, so social media has been lacking. Gas rerun completed today after smart meter installer shut them off due to a leak on the system.

I had a job cancel today so I was able to investigate the position of the gas leak and rerun supplies from the meter outlet and supply the hob and oven with a new feed.

Also replaced some seals on a Potterton Gold heat only as the original ones had completely perished along the bottom edge, which was picked up on the service a couple of weeks ago.

Also some radiators installed for a customer in Central Avenue, Stanford Le Hope. A lot of jobs completed with no pictures.

Currently booking into Mid November, so for any plumbing or gas works please get in touch ahead of time. Still taking on emergencies as required.

Another one finished, this time worked alongside a builder who built the room and I did the first fix plumbing and fitting of the suite.

Came out looking nice, complete wetroom so the customer has downstairs access to facilities.

Small refurb on this one in Rectory Road, grays. New wet room vinyl laid and welded as old was past it's best and failed at the corner letting water underneath. New Rak 600 toilet and wall mounted basin with Bristan taps, new Krad installed with new valves.

Boiler upgrade today in Third Avenue ready for the winter. Space was very tight on this one, Old Baxi Solo out and New Baxi 816 heat only in, with 10 year warranty and new magnetic filter.

All controls left to how the customer knows how to use them. System was working well but old boiler had seen better days so just a boiler swap and new condensate run completed.

On arrival a gas leak was found and source was located at an unused gas fire, which was capped off, leaving the customer with a safe gas supply and brand new boiler.

A perfect example of why gas safety checks are important.

System up and running within a day and all set for the colder months. Customer also joined my reminder list, so they'll get a call next year to maintain their warranty and get everything checked over.

Brand new Rak 600 toilet installed today after customers cistern decided to crack on Saturday. Sourcing a replacement cistern wasn't possible, so we replaced the whole unit and repiped for full piece of mind.

Totally forgot to post last week so here are some jobs completed.

Another through the wall aircon unit fitted for a regular customer in Chadwell St Mary. Fitted these vent covers to divert exhaust air from the hot tub and also weather and splash proof the exhaust.

And a shower enclosure replacement in Bulphan. Which also included changing 3 extractor fans and a basin trap. Old poorly installed dlenclosure removed and new Merlyn Mbox enclosure fitted with long warranty and peace of mind that it's a solid enclosure built for longevity.

The last 2 days have been very hot and not ideal for a shower tray installation. Getting materials up and down made things alot worse.

But I got it done in the time that was scheduled.

Old towel radiator removed and New Eastbrook vertical radiator with towel bars installed.

Old mirror cabinet removed and new one installed with touch sensor lighting and shaver socket inside.

Old quadrant shower tray removed, walls dried out as grout had failed, tiles cleaned up and reused. All put back with fresh grout and silicone.

Merlyn rectangular 1200 x 900 tray installed with Merlyn Mbox sliding door and end panel.

A nice clean look to the bathroom without refurbing the whole room.

Busy day today, first job was at Thurrock council environmental depot in West Thurrock as their water heater had sprung a leak. Disconnected and replacement quote given.

Second job was a 5 year service on a boiler I installed in Andersons

Third job in foxfield drive, Stanford, strip apart a Main combi eco and replace electrodes, change flue turret as it had snapped, change flue seals and also changed main heat exchanger washers. As always with this job, once one seal is changed, another leaks. But all up and running and for the sake of a couple of extra washers. A job well done.

These faults were all found on last weeks service and customer chose to get them repaired before a more costly bill occurred.

Fourth job in Orsett, change a 3 port valve under warranty as it had failed after only 6 months. And whilst there install a Grundfos shower pump as the last pump was noisy and was going off without demand. Also changed a toilet seat while we were there.

Hot and busy day. Onto the next project.

Electriq Iqool air conditioner with heat pump installed today in a customers garden office. This unit vents through the wall so no need for an outdoor unit. Perfect set up for a garden building.

Within 10 minutes the room was already ice cold.

A couple of jobs done last week. First one was a radiator move, customer was happy with the performance of the rad and we agreed to move rather than replace. All pipework altered, with no dead ends and inhibitor added, ready for decoration.

Secons lot of photos is from a boiler repair. Main target was to change the expansion vessel, which on these boilers are on the back.

So flue removed, seals changed to ensure no products of combustion can pass when reassembled, expansion changed, flue put back together and sealed. Prv also changed as old one was sludged up and with vessel changes they are likely to let water past.

All put back together and ready to carry on.
