Another fantastic before & after transformation completed by Days Paving & Landscaping! 👏🏡

This project started with an old lawn and brick wall that needed a complete overhaul. We stripped everything back and prepared the area properly from the ground up to ensure the finished paving had a solid, stable and long-lasting foundation.

The preparation included:

✅ 150mm MOT Type 1 — thoroughly compacted to create a strong sub-base
✅ 100mm lean-mix concrete — providing additional strength and stability
✅ 50mm sand & cement bedding mix — incorporating SBR for improved adhesion and performance
✅ Every slab back-slurried before being laid to help achieve a strong bond between the paving and bedding
✅ Carefully laid and levelled slabs for a clean, consistent finish
✅ Contrasting border detail to give the driveway a crisp, premium finish
✅ Full attention to levels, falls and drainage
✅ Thorough clean-up leaving the area looking completely transformed

The end result is a beautiful, modern and hard-wearing paved driveway, completely changing the appearance of the front of the property while providing a strong base designed to stand the test of time. 💪

We take pride in doing the preparation properly, because a great paving job starts long before the first slab is laid.

What a difference! 👏

We started by breaking out and removing the old, tired concrete, clearing away the existing stone and preparing the area ready for a complete transformation.

We then created a fresh, even and modern patio area, using high-quality paving laid with clean lines and a stylish contrasting border. The result is a much more practical, level and inviting outdoor space. 🔨✨

To finish everything off, we also installed new fencing, giving the garden a fresh, tidy and finished look while adding privacy and definition to the space. 🌿

The customer was absolutely delighted with the finished result — another garden completely transformed from old and worn to fresh, modern and ready to enjoy! ❤️

Here’s another project we’ve been working on behind the scenes, taking this tired and uneven area and turning it into a clean, strong and practical concrete surface. 💪

🛠️ WHAT WE’VE DONE:
✅ Cleared and prepared the existing ground
✅ Levelled and compacted the area ready for the new surface
✅ Installed timber shuttering/formwork to create clean, defined edges
✅ Prepared the area with a suitable membrane
✅ Set everything to the correct levels and falls
✅ Supplied and laid a fresh concrete surface
✅ Carefully finished the concrete to leave a neat, durable and professional-looking finish
✅ Worked around the existing access, buildings and boundaries to make the most of the available space

The end result is a much cleaner, safer and more usable area, with a solid concrete finish designed to stand up to regular use. 👌

For this job, we completed a new tarmaced dropped kerb, creating a clean, smooth and practical access point from the road onto the pavement.

🛠️ What we completed:
• Prepared the area ready for the new access
• Installed the dropped kerb to provide a suitable vehicle entrance
• Tarmaced the area for a strong, smooth and professional finish
• Carefully finished around the existing drainage and surrounding surfaces
• Left the area looking neat, tidy and ready for use

Another fantastic transformation completed by Days Paving & Landscaping! 💪

This front garden featured an unused gravel area alongside a block-paved driveway the space lacked practicality and didn’t make the most of the property’s frontage.

What we did:
✅ Removed the existing gravel and prepared the ground with a solid sub-base.
✅ Installed reinforced brushed concrete with clean concrete edging, creating a strong, low-maintenance parking area.
✅ Carefully tied the new concrete into the existing block paving for a seamless finish.
✅ Left the property clean, tidy and ready for years of everyday use.

The result is a much larger, more practical driveway. The new brushed concrete not only enhances the kerb appeal but also provides a durable surface built to withstand daily use while requiring very little maintenance.

This project started with an old, worn concrete area that required a transformation we uncovered and safely worked around inspection chambers, prepared the ground, and ensured the correct falls for drainage.

The area was then finished with stunning kandla grey sandstone paving, carefully laid with precision cuts around the existing posts and finished with clean, neat pointing for a modern, high-end look.
