✅ POSITION - GENERAL ROOFER

✅ DETAILS -

Stamford Roofing has a position for a General roofer, we are looking for the following :

* At least 10yrs provable experience
* knowledge of Roof tiling / natural slating / General repairs / flat roofing (optional)
* Experience within historic and new build roofing
* Be able to work independently and as a team
* Ability to communicate with clients
* Have a Clean valid uk driving licence
* Ability to get to and from our offices for the working day
* Pride in all aspects of their craftsmanship and work
* Keep their site / project clean and tidy

WHAT WE OFFER :

✅ Fully on the books PAYE
✅ Full holiday entitlement & Pay
✅ payment contribution to Pension scheme
✅ Work Uniform (tops / jumpers / jackets)
✅ No Wet days off or loss of pay

💰 Pay is based on proven ability and skill

Working hours 7:30am - 4:30pm Mon - Friday

This was another project that involved sourcing the best reclaim tiles to match in with the surrounding properties

The colours on these tiles are stunning , Reclaimed Triple roll

Clients request was that he wished it to match the rest of the building and have no visible lead.. But a solid weather seal

The team went back to traditional methods and mixed it with modern lead, fitted under the mortar flaunching is a small chased in lead flashing, coated with 2 coats of bitumen primer and a grit to bond the new mortar to

Achieving a water tight finish under the decorative mortar

We have a great source of partners to find the very best in reclaimed materials for heritage projects .
We travel the length of the country finding the best reclaimed Welsh slates or period tiles

This was an amazing project to be involved in, plenty of meetings, plenty of Natural slate samples meaning plenty of cost options.

Helping out on the refurbishment works of the old Halifax bank , this is a beautiful property and just up the road we are assisting in the restoration of another beautiful shop that house’s the fantastic Rennet & Rind Cheese shop at street level .

Working on behalf of RTK Stamford , Thisis a full Heritage Collyweston slate Re-roof, We are moving onto the rear of the property now whilst the joinery firm do their stuff on the windows .

We have learnt you cannot walk past this shop with out being drawn into taste and smell the fabulous Cheeses on offer .

Every Contractor will have a Project that will not be straight forward,

Stamford Roofing was drafted in to assist on this extension that had some structural challenges to manage .

Being a very low pitch, the correct materials , starting from the under-felt to the tiles sourced.
The design of the lead roof that was incorporated for a room design below meant that bespoke lead welding was needed on site .

Needless to say , Our team achieved everything the client needed

It was a great to maintain a great working relationship that has spanned 26 years with Stamford Notth street Chapel.

Back in 2005 The main roof was re-slated and Stamford roofing was recently given the contract to re-slate the north elevation .

The committee showing keen support of our working relationship has now been rewarded with 3 more linked contracts on local Church roofing contracts

This project involved more than just re-slating , our teams carried out additional timber rafters , working with The Scaffold Company all scaffold was hoarded to meet the insurance demands of the church insurers and was all handled by ourselves taking the pressure away from the clients

Supporting Young Sports is something we take seriously, Not all sports clubs have the financial capabilities to self support..

Back in 2020 Jake had an Ambition to Share his passion and knowledge from his own journey in football with children coming through Grass roots football and then further advanced coaching ..

We knew Jake closely and stepped in to give him the support he needed,

Being a school teacher as well makes his life very busy but Jake now runs :

* Stamford Futsal classes all night on a Monday
* Coaches his own children’s Grass roots team

When Jake wanted to start the adult reserves team to give a pathway into adult football for u18 players we kindly teamed up with Matthew Laughton upholstery to sponsor and support the new team
Jake is Player / Coach / Manager of Stamford Daniels Adult reserves

His last desire was to start Stamford Development Centre for helping to further improve children’s play.

Our first started today where our flat roofing team have been handed the keys to a fantastic Eco designed property hidden in beautiful Rutland.

Our involvement in this build started 3 months back where we carried out the rain water flow design to cope with the uks new current heavy storms.

A roof this size certainly needs to empty fast..

Taking over from the building contractor who has brought the structure up to the first deck , we shall be installing the a fully Building Control compliant Warm roof structure that eventually will be covered with Sedem green roof growth cages to soften the impact on the surrounding landscape .

All our Installations come with Insurance backed guarantees for peace of mind .
