You’d think that after decades of renovating period properties, there wouldn’t be anything for us to get excited about. You’d be wrong. The architect’s vision of their client’s dream home always leads to something new and exciting for us to build. If it allows us to show off one of our crafts, then even better. Take carpentry for example: we might be working on a beautiful but rickety staircase climbing through your Victorian house; or you might need some bespoke storage in the attic of your terraced Georgian property; maybe you want reclaimed French wooden floor boards throughout the ground floor... See? That’s why we do what we do.

We’re Kevin Gale and Mick Power, directors and owners of Galower Build. We started Galower in 1978, and now the 2nd generation is working alongside us so we truly are a family-run company.

We build luxury properties – homes and educational buildings – generally in the south of England. Typically, these are 18-24 month long refurb and new build projects, with the Galower team working alongside talented architects.

We love our work; from the early buildability and planning days, through the various stages of the project as the ‘vision’ gradually emerges. Building good, strong relationships with the architect and their client, the property-owner, is very important to us. Together with the quality of our workmanship, the trust that develops between us leads to beautiful homes and inspiring learning environments.
