Big transformation on this roof in Esher. It was a real shame to remove such a beautiful thatched roof — it had so much character — but sometimes practicality has to come first.
The clients had been trying to sell the property last year and found that while many potential buyers loved the look, they were hesitant due to the upkeep, insurance considerations, and long-term maintenance that comes with thatched roofing.
We’ve now completed a full roof replacement, giving the property a fresh, durable, and more market-friendly finish while still respecting the overall look of the home.
