We need your support!

This Saturday we will be taking on a charity hike up to the summit of Scafell Pike for Emmaus UK, who work to end homlessness.

But we have a problem...

We are currently 35% away from reaching our target of £5,000.

If you're able to, please donate using the link below and help Emmaus UK continue making a real impact in the fight against homelessness.

We want to highlight the brilliant work of our Technology & Lighting team, who continue to self-deliver high‑quality work across the network.

Most recently, we captured some of the team who were carrying out electrical and structural surveys of streetlighting on the M1 near J21 in the East Midlands (Area 7) for Amey. This includes:

Structural Testing
-MEWP‑based inspections of brackets and lamp integrity.
-Non‑destructive below‑ground testing using the TVC ColcheK2.
-Ultrasonic thickness checks at 400mm depth to identify corrosion.

Electrical Testing
-Full BS7671 18th Edition periodic tests on all column circuits.
-Dead tests: insulation resistance, continuity, polarity.
-Live tests: earth loop impedance, PFC, R1&R2.
-Feeder pillar checks: ZE readings, supply characteristics and more...

Our fully qualified team operates nationwide, supported by our own specialist plant, MEWPs, and advanced testing equipment. This scheme showcases what we do best: self-delivery, technical expertise, and dependable performance that keeps the network safe and operational.

🎄 A huge THANK YOU to Carnell! 🎄

We’re sending a massive thank you to civil engineering company Carnell for their wonderful donation of food and drink for Christmas! 🎁✨

We are truly grateful for their ongoing support - it means so much to our community, and we cannot thank them enough for providing some tasty festive fare for our companions this season.

Pictured with the Christmas dinner goodies delivered to us last week is companion Anthony and our Catering Manager Darren. 🙌

Support like this helps make Christmas brighter for everyone at Emmaus Cambridge. Thank you, Carnell! 💚🙏

AGC hosted the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) and National Highways at the M62 Lofthouse parapet and VRS scheme👷. This visit offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase the complexities of the works and demonstrate our technical capabilities to key industry stakeholders.

The ORR plays a vital role in protecting road users by ensuring safety, value for money and strong performance. At Carnell, we fully support this mission by embedding quality into everything we do. We are proud members of GIRI (Get it Right Initiative) and the National Highways Quality Steering Group, both of which drive continuous improvement and error reduction across our industry.
