So many customers fear their new kitchen will be too dark.

‘We don’t get much natural light’
‘We are south facing’
‘The room is quite narrow’

But a kitchen isn’t defined by the door colour. It is the sum of the parts. It is texture. Reflection. Light bounce. It is flooring, paint colour, even ceiling colour. It is artificial lighting and mood lighting.

This room is a perfect example. From a dark worktop to a white surface that bounces light. Freshly painted white brick walls. Better lighting, in the ceiling and under cabinets. And the satin finish of the door front all contribute to allow the customer to carry the darker and more colourful door.

With Bosch appliances and quartz worktops, an under mount sink and a lot more storage than the previous layout, this really is a lovely new space to bake, cook and create. Exactly how the customer wanted!

There’s so much character packed into this kitchen. 😍

The two-tone Shaker cabinetry works beautifully with the warm oak details, Belfast sink, traditional tap and oil-rubbed bronze handles, while the feature tiling and T&G panelling add even more personality.

And of course, the brick and panelled feature wall makes the perfect home for the customers’ gin collection! 🍸

A lovely finished room after plenty of work behind the scenes. 😎

Some kitchen styles come and go. Shaker kitchens have never really left.

Measured up during a heatwave, fitted during a heatwave, photos taken in a heatwave. Summer 2026 didn’t disappoint, and neither does this kitchen!

Customer brief:

We like everything clean and clear. A place for everything. I know I like German style kitchens. I definitely want lighter worktops but not anything too busy. We have a nice size room but it just doesn’t make use of the space. Layout is really key and as yet we haven’t been wowed by any design or company.

We want ovens up high. We want it to be light and neutral but still make an impact. We don’t have anywhere to prep food. We don’t have enough fridge space but don’t want a big American fridge freezer. We have a little area in the room that isn’t really anything so it would be nice to use that somehow. We need to keep a table in the room.

Our utility feels cramped. The door doesn’t open fully and we can’t get in what we need without it going around the corner. The ironing board has nowhere to go.

Fast forward to the finished room and what a great space it is. I love so much about this kitchen, but the breakfast bar area just makes it. So much space for serving out and social seating and eating, and connecting inside and out.

Neff appliances including a full height fridge, undercounter freezer, oven, combi and warming drawer, hob and hood, dishwasher and washing machine. All give everything the customer needs and more.

And storage wise, there’s an internal drawer larder unit, Le Mans corner pullouts, large pan drawers, wall storage with integrated lighting systems and a new utility with sensibly laid out units. The larder has been split internally for the taller items to pocket away tidily for the best use of space.

Some kitchens just feel right when everything comes together.

What we love about this one is how much the room has opened up without trying to overcomplicate the design. The soft green cabinetry, Belfast sink and range cooker feel completely at home in the property, while the matching Crittall doors and continuous flooring give the whole space a really lovely sense of flow.

We also created a new utility space alongside the kitchen, carrying the same finishes through so the two rooms feel completely connected.

There’s plenty going on behind the scenes too, with far more storage worked into the new layout, but nothing feels crowded or overdone. It’s calm, practical and full of character — exactly what this home needed.

Definitely one we enjoyed seeing come to life. 😍

One room, a lovely finished kitchen, but one of the most complex projects we have worked on for for a number of reasons. The end visual effect is perfect, but the journey to create the space definitely had a few head scratching moments.

We knew a lot of what we were getting into. Walls with rising damp meant no fixings in certain areas, walls all out of level / square, damp coming up through the floor, exposed pipework and leaks from upstairs bathrooms all had to be addressed in preparation for the new room. The preparation took longer than the installation.

This two colour Finca shaker kitchen has some lovely features and has been brought to life with the oak bench, shelving and some of the customers personal choices. Classy details such as the Belfast sink and traditional tap, the oil rubbed bronze handles, T&G panels and feature tiling all contribute to its distinctive look. The feature wall with brick slips and panelling provide the perfect place to show off their gin collection!

Neff cooking appliances and quartz worktops finish this up nicely. What a room 😎😎

Oh wow. What a stunning room! This is just beautiful.

A project fitted in a new extension, completed in partnership with GSN. We designed, supplied and installed the furniture, appliances and worktops to complete the look.

I really love the colour choices - the island in Indian Red is such a feature, adding real contrast to the worktops and warmth and connection to the floor finish.

This is a Schuller Biella kitchen with Bosch appliances and Quartz worktops. The true handleless style is perfect here too, adding feature lighting and a sleek look into a busy open plan space with a young family. The worktops running into the sliding kitchen window adds extra depth and space.

The island is obviously the focal point. Social seating was a must for this family. But having the venting hob on the island as well just keeps it looking minimal and allows feature lighting overhead.

One of the details we enjoy planning most is what's inside the drawers.

It's often the part of the kitchen that clients haven't thought much about, but it's also one of the most personal. The right combination of dividers and internal storage depends entirely on how you use the space, which is why we never take a one-size-fits-all approach.

Those are the details that make a kitchen feel effortless to live with.
