💡 Imagine controlling the perfect lighting for every moment, all at the touch of a button.

Smart lighting isn't just about convenience - it's about creating the right atmosphere, enhancing your home's design and making everyday living that little bit easier.

Following some recent training with Lutron Electronics and RGB Communications, we were kindly sent a Lutron Vierti keypad to showcase their latest range of lighting controls.

Combining elegant design with intelligent technology, the Vierti range demonstrates how lighting controls can become a stylish feature of your home, rather than just another switch on the wall.

A big thank you to Lutron and RGB Communications for the training and for sending this over!

We're excited to showcase the range to our customers and explore how it can enhance our future smart home installations. 🏡

💡 PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT | Rako Controls Ltd Keypads

When you're investing in intelligent lighting, the controls on the wall should feel every bit as considered as the lighting itself.

Rako offers a choice of Classic, EOS and Modular control panels, allowing us to select a style and finish that complements the interior of your home rather than simply fitting another standard light switch.

With a wide choice of finishes, different button layouts and the option for custom engraved controls, each keypad can be designed around the way you actually use the room.

A single keypad can provide simple, intuitive control over lighting scenes, dimming and even other elements such as blinds, curtains and audio.

And with both wired and wireless options available, Rako can be considered for everything from a new build or major renovation through to upgrading the lighting control in an existing home.

Small details can make a big difference.

Smart lighting control that looks like it belongs in your home.

🔐 Security built in from the start.

We’re pleased to be working with new client ASG Construction on an ongoing residential development in Graveley, consisting of four new homes.

For all four properties, we specified wired Ajax Systems intruder alarm systems, rather than the wireless systems we typically install.

On a new build, this is the perfect opportunity to go wired. With the properties still under construction, we can install and conceal all of the alarm cabling before the walls are finished, leaving no visible wiring once complete.

A wired system also brings some key long-term benefits. Devices are powered through the system rather than relying on individual batteries, reducing future battery replacements and ongoing maintenance. Communication between devices is carried over dedicated cabling, providing a permanent and dependable connection throughout the property.

Most importantly, the infrastructure becomes part of the building itself. The cabling is there for the long term, allowing individual components to be serviced, replaced or upgraded in the future without having to start again with the underlying installation.

Combined with the smart functionality, app control and clean finish of AJAX, it gives each homeowner a modern security system with a solid foundation behind it.

We’ll be returning as each of the four plots progress, taking the systems from first fix through to the final installation.

A great start to a new working relationship with ASG Construction, and a project we’re looking forward to seeing come together. 👌

📍 Royston | Automated Blinds Designed Into the Home

Sometimes the best technology is the technology you barely know is there.

This project in Royston features large south-facing windows, including glazing positioned out of easy reach. The client wanted an automated solution to manage sunlight, heat and privacy, but with a clear brief - keep the finished look clean, minimal and with as little technology on show as possible.

Working alongside electrical contractors , we reviewed the architectural drawings and planned the solution into the build from the outset.

We specified QMotion automated roller blinds, with concealed blind pockets designed into the property so the rollers completely disappear from view when the blinds are open. A simple CAT6 cable to each blind provides the required infrastructure, while QMotion’s super-quiet motors keep operation discreet too.

🎛️ Control4 handles the control, giving the client simple wired wall switches in each room, alongside the ability to create useful functions such as master ‘all down’ controls in key areas.

Getting involved at this stage means we can consider everything from the fabric and level of light control through to the motors, wiring, pockets and integration before the walls and ceilings are finished.

No remotes lying around. No visible rollers. No unnecessary technology on show.

Just effortless control of those hard-to-reach south-facing windows, with the blinds looking and feeling like they were always part of the architecture.

Simple, discreet and designed around exactly how the client wants to use their home.

Back in Welwyn recently to visit a project we originally completed last year as part of a full home refurbishment.

The client contacted us after experiencing an issue with one of their AJAX CCTV cameras. After diagnosing the fault, we returned with a replacement camera, swapped the faulty one and got the system back up and running. ✅

Even though the installation was completed over a year ago, the camera was still covered by AJAX’s 2-year manufacturer warranty, meaning we were able to replace it at no cost to our client.

For us, the job doesn’t end when the installation is finished. Good aftercare is just as important - we want our clients to know that if something does go wrong further down the line, we’re still here to look after it.

🎉 3 years of Kayleigh!

Today we’re celebrating three years since Kayleigh joined the Infinite team!

It’s crazy to think how quickly those three years have gone. Kayleigh has become such a big part of the day-to-day running of Infinite Smart Tech, and we don’t know what we’d do without her now!

She keeps us organised, keeps things moving and, more importantly, puts up with the rest of us on a daily basis 😂

So naturally, we marked the occasion in the best way we know how… with cake and pastries! 🧁🥐

Thank you for everything you do, Kayleigh. We’re very lucky to have you as part of the team and here’s to many more years together! 💙

📍 PROJECT SURVEY | HARPENDEN

There’s always something a little different about working with buildings that have a story behind them.

We were recently on site in Harpenden, surveying a former police station that’s being transformed into modern office space for one of our long-standing clients.

Working alongside MGBC Construction, we’re looking after the technology and security infrastructure throughout the building, including:

🔹 CCTV
🔹 Intruder alarm
🔹 Access control
🔹 Network cabling
🔹 IT network infrastructure
🔹 Wi-Fi coverage

Getting involved at the survey stage means we can make sure everything is properly planned, positioned and integrated before the project moves forward - particularly important when bringing modern technology into an older building.

🔦 Product Spotlight | AJAX Systems

When it comes to security systems, we don’t just look for something that sounds an alarm - we want technology that’s reliable, intelligent and simple to live with.

That’s why Ajax Systems is one of our go-to security platforms at Infinite Smart Tech.

From intrusion and fire detection through to CCTV, access control and automation, AJAX allows us to create a complete security solution around the property - all managed through one beautifully simple app.

What makes it stand out for us?

🔹 Clean, modern design that doesn’t look out of place in a home or business
🔹 Wired & wireless options, giving us flexibility across new builds and existing properties
🔹 Instant notifications straight to your phone
🔹 Professional monitoring options for an additional level of protection
🔹 Integrated CCTV & video verification so you can see exactly what’s happening
🔹 Expandable systems that can grow as your requirements change

Most importantly, it gives our clients a security system that’s powerful behind the scenes, but incredibly straightforward to use every day.
