Did you know the battery and the inverter can be one and the same? 🔋

This recent install pairs sixteen Aiko solar panels with a Tesla Powerwall 3, which has the solar inverter built in, so one neat unit does the job of two. It stores 13.5kWh of usable energy, and a Tesla gateway sits alongside to switch the home over to backup power if the grid ever goes down.

Up on the roof, the Aiko panels use all back contact technology, which puts the electrical contacts behind the cells so the front stays clean and uninterrupted. We've added a bird guard around the edge too, so nesting birds can't move in underneath.
