So proud of the team for completing our handheld piling works in less than 2 days at our recent project in Cambridge.

13No. 76mm Diameter helical piles up to 6m deep to support a new office and gym building to the rear of the property.

All materials had to be offloaded onto the front drive and carried by hand, section by section to the works location.

Installation was carried out via handheld equipment due to limited access and with our ability to produce better helix pitch we are able to speed up the installation process as our piles can be install 3x quicker than imports that come standard with a 3" pitch.

The site was prone to flooding so piles projected above ground and during the installation we could see rising water which would have ruled out traditional concrete methods.

So this week I popped back in to catch up on our Milton Keynes Solar Carport project.

Although Helical Pile Solutions Ltd have completed all the piling works we are proud of our involvement and like to check in with our client RSR - Design | Build | Maintain on progress with the structure er****on and solar panel installation.

I'm sure you will agree it looks fantastic and it's going to be amazing when it's fully finished across the site.

Helical Pile Solutions Ltd were back out onsite again this week installing for a new Ferric Slab at Ormesby Water Treatment Works.

All piles were installed within tolerance both vertically and in plan and all within programme for our client to follow on with the concrete slab works.

Our piles are installed using our Intelli-Tork Torque data monitoring system which allows instant results to be streamed to our cloud service so our operations team can check and sign off each pile as and when they are completed.

Another busy week for Helical Pile Solutions Ltd out on site in Tamworth installing the first tower foundations of 43 with our installer JA Construction Site Services on our project for KELLER on behalf of Wood.

Helical Piles are proving to be the preferred option with a complete foundation installed within hours rather than a week in comparison to traditional concrete foundations meaning our client can proceed with follow on works as soon as the piles are installed. This benefit ensures the client can reduce their programme duration and in turn project costs.

Helical Pile Solutions Ltd were back out onsite installing helical (screw) piles in Buckinghamshire to support a new building.

We were contacted by Williams Southern Limited Construction to work alongside their designers to propose a suitable solution to support their new building construction.

Helical piles were designed to support unfactored axial loads of up to 185kN (18.5t) using recycled steel for the main pile shafts. The use of this steel is not only higher strength than our standard steel grade, allowing us to push more torque on a small shaft diameter but also provides 97% reduction in carbon emissions by recycling the steel back into the domain.

A huge thanks to for yet another great service with the plant hire, Richter for assisting with the detailed design and William Knight and his team for yet another faultless installation of the piles.

A total of 60No. 140x10.5mm piles up to 6m long were installed over a 5 day period inclusive of mobilisation and demobilisation.
