After a lovely sales update from Helen at Seahorse Studio, it’s been a restocking china brooches week, so many tiny pieces of china to grout…
Also planned for workshops, Christmas markets and gallery replenishment - always more effective when I come up against a deadline😊

My grouting pile is growing steadily, amazing what a looming deadline does to my focus 😊

I’m still here, quietly getting on with life and all the fun of the summer with family. The last few months have been about being gentle to myself, I’ve always tried to avoid any hint of mass production in my own work but I was beginning to feel a bit stuck with some of my practice.
To try and loosen up and give my head a bit of space, I’ve been painting, printing, electro etching, walking the fields and generally keeping my head down.

This morning felt different, I managed to get some base shapes cut and sanded ready for a couple of orders and I think we might be back on it - why it had to be on the hottest day I really don’t understand.

Anyway, hello again 👋

Currently working on a request for a lighthouse, couldn’t resist making four for choice. Loosely based on Portland Bill with lovely memories of family holidays with little children.

We’ve had some wonderful workshops over the last 12 weeks - so many great ideas and colours.
There’ll be a few more dates later in the summer with booking details available on June 12th at our open studios and then at uniquecottagestudios.com
