Ruth Makes Jewellery Our unique handmade silver jewellery is inspired by landscape and wildlife, and our cats The silver is hallmarked at Birmingham Assay Office.

Ruth Makes Jewellery combines the designs of Ruth Sutcliffe and Jez Coates. Based in the West Yorkshire Pennine hills in UK, they create sterling silver jewellery inspired by local landscape, wildlife, pets, natural forms, mystical moongazing hares and wolves. Each unique piece is hand sawn from sterling silver sheet, sometimes incorporating copper and brass, and either polished to a rich lustre, or oxidised to create atmospheric wearable art. We are happy to discuss ideas for commissions to create beautiful personal jewellery, perfect for special gifts.

A big thank you to Kathryn Guy for organising another cracking Designer Makers Market at Tennants The Garden Rooms at Tennants We had such a good time over Friday and Saturday and want to thank those folk who purchased our jewellery, always very much appreciated 🩶

It was fab meeting up with our friends and making new friends too. Thanks too for making us laugh ... a lot ... Claire Cerysanne Groves Art by K.A.W and Clockwork Punk we had a blast.

We were very excited to hear and see a Snipe up on the moors at the weekend. We used to hear them 'drumming' and displaying over the hillside, but have missed them for years. So it was doubly exciting.

These wonderful souls need constant help against poaching, and sadly removal of the horn gives them a significantly greater chance of survival, a sobering thought indeed.
