Garden Wall Rebuild Project

🏚️🧱❌ This garden wall had started leaning over quite badly and was in need of a full rebuild.

🏡🧱✅ Demolition got underway and the old bricks were carefully cleaned off, ready to be used again. They certainly don’t make bricks like the good old Accringtons anymore, so it was worth reclaiming them and preserving the original character.

🧱 Older walls like this need more time, more attention to detail, and the correct methods to make sure the work lasts while keeping the character of the original brickwork.

🧱I tip my hat to the lads who do this day in, day out because it’s definitely not our favourite work to do, but when we do it, we do it proper.

New project underway restoration work on some original Victorian brick walls.

With heritage brickwork like this, it’s important to use the right materials and methods. Because these older walls are built with softer bricks, we’ll be carrying out traditional flush pointing using NHL 3.5 lime mortar
