SURELY THIS A CONTENDER FOR BEST REVIEW EVER!
Spoiler alert: š Weāre extremely happy with the service we received from Voltstead.
We had an EV charger installed, and it was a big job.
To give you a sense of the scale:
The cable had to leave our apartment through walls almost three feet thick, pass beneath a private pavement through a custom duct that Voltstead installed, and then run approximately 70ā80 feet to our parking space.
We also needed a top-of-the-range charger to give us the best weather protection possible.
They handled everythingā¦.. Of course, that was their jobā¦. but the pride, dedication and sheer tenacity they brought to it were exceptional.
After more than 30 years in IT, I know that the real test is not whether something goes wrongābecause something at some time will šābut the test is how a supplier responds when it does.
Long story short, there was an obscure fault in the equipmentāthe first of its kind Voltstead had encountered with this model.
After connecting remotely, the supplier quickly agreed to send a replacement on the next working day. It arrived 24 hours later, and Voltstead were here just 12 minutes (seriously) after I texted to say it had arrived.
Everything was up and running that same day.
Sam, who runs the company, was determined to get everything sorted. He and his team clearly take enormous pride in what they do. Iām terrible with names, so forgive me, Sam, but Kiran, Dan and Vinnie came here several times: for the initial installation, to investigate the problem and then to carry out the second installation when the equipment was replaced.
On top of all that, everyone was friendly, approachable and skilled, and they cleaned up after every visitāsomething I canāt say of all the engineers Iāve encountered over the years.
Sam also pointed me towards a government grant that applied to our exact circumstances, and we successfully used it to help with the cost.
Our charger is working very well, our car is fully charged, and charging it is now cheaper and greener.
Voltstead were excellent, and we would happily recommend them.
They are a team that takes pride in what they do and what they do they do very very well.
