🔧 Maintenance Engineer / Plumber – Tower Hamlets
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Job Type: Self-Employed initially
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
Start: Immediate / ASAP
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Plumber to join our growing team, covering maintenance works across Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas.
This is initially a self-employed position, with the opportunity for the right candidate to move employed and onto the books following a successful period.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and plumbing works across residential properties, including:
* Plumbing repairs and maintenance
* Heating and hot water repairs
* Fault finding and diagnostics
* Leaking taps, toilets, pipes and valves
* General reactive maintenance
* Basic carpentry and building maintenance where required
* Completing jobs to a high standard
* Communicating professionally with tenants, residents and clients
* Completing job sheets and reporting works carried out
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in plumbing and property maintenance
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Able to work independently
* Customer-focused and professional
* Able to diagnose problems and find practical solutions
* Fully equipped with their own basic tools
* Driving licence preferred
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ / City & Guilds / Gas Safe are advantageous depending on skillset
