⚡ WE'RE HIRING: Electrical Testing Engineer ⚡
📍 Southampton (covering a 25-mile radius)
🚀 Immediate start available

Quayside Electrical is looking for a qualified Electrical Testing Engineer to join our team! You'll be carrying out periodic inspection and testing across commercial and domestic sites, plus reactive maintenance and fault-finding as needed.

🔧 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
✅ EICRs and periodic inspections
✅ Testing and inspection to BS 7671 (18th Edition)
✅ Reactive call-outs: diagnosing and repairing faults
✅ Completing test certificates, reports and job paperwork
✅ Talking clients through findings and remedial work on site
✅ Working safely and independently across Southampton/Hampshire
✅ Helping the wider team with minor installation work when needed

📋 WHAT YOU'LL NEED
✔️ City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
✔️ 18th Edition (2382)
✔️ NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent, e.g. Gold Card/ECS)
✔️ Proven experience in testing, inspection and fault-finding
✔️ Full UK driving licence
✔️ Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing manner
✔️ Able to manage your own workload and schedule

⭐ NICE TO HAVE
➕ Commercial and industrial experience
➕ PASMA/IPAF or working-at-height tickets

Maintenance Electrician needed Hampshire Area

To look after new build housing after care.

All clean, warm work.

Can be employed or self employed.

Use of your own transport or vehicle can be provided.

Fuel card to be issued, to cover costs.

You need to be smart, polite and presentable as it’s a customer facing role, entering occupied homes. Must be able to test your own work.

Rates negotiable depending on qualifications and employment status.

We’re currently paying sub contract rates of £25ph for this role.
