Yesterday, we had a very special visitor at Connect It HQ. 🦄🚲

Abby’s Heroes’ very own Abbycorn came to put a hoof on the pedal and show Team Connect It some support as we near the end of our week-long, 600-mile cycle challenge.

We couldn’t be prouder of everyone who has jumped on a bike and played their part. Every mile covered has been a team effort — and it’s incredible to see how lots of small journeys can add up to something so much bigger.

As we head towards the finish line, a huge thank you to everyone who has kept those wheels turning. You’ve been amazing! 💜

But the challenge doesn’t stop when the bikes do. We’re aiming to raise £3,000 for Abby’s Heroes, helping them continue their vital work supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Based on Southampton General Hospital’s Piam Brown Ward and TYA wards, Abby’s Heroes provides practical and emotional support to families during some of the most difficult times imaginable — from financial support and counselling to family events and wellbeing services.

Every mile sponsored helps turn the miles we’ve cycled into meaningful support for families who need it most.

It costs just £5 to sponsor a mile, so whether you sponsor 1 mile, 10 miles or 25 miles, every contribution makes a difference.

🚴 We’re halfway through our week-long 600-mile cycle relay!

We’re incredibly proud of Team Connect It, who have been working together to keep the wheels spinning and those all-important miles racking up!

As the week has gone on, the momentum has continued to build, and there’s a real buzz here at Connect It HQ as team members take to the bikes, all united by one goal: raising as much as we can for 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part so far – you’ve absolutely smashed it!

Special thanks also go to Holly Hill Leisure Centre, who kindly donated these superb spin bikes, and to our Transport and Warehouse teams for arranging their safe arrival. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without your generosity and support.

As we reach the halfway point, we’re delighted to say that we’re on track to complete the full 600 miles! Now, we just need to keep this incredible momentum going. 💪

This morning, we were delighted to welcome two very special guests to help kick-start our week-long fundraising challenge. 🚴‍♀️💜

Abby's Heroes founder, Sally Randall, cycled to our office and took on some miles of our 600-mile challenge before heading off on her own incredible challenge this Wednesday — a 300-mile cycle from London to Amsterdam.

From all of us at Connect It, we’re wishing Sally the very best of luck. We’ll be cheering you on every mile of the way!

We were also thrilled to be joined by Connect It-sponsored GB athlete Serena Vincent, who jumped on the bike and helped us get those wheels turning in support of our 600-mile challenge.

On your marks, get set… GO GO GO! 🚴‍♀️💜

Today marks the start of our 600-mile cycle relay challenge, as Team Connect It comes together for one big week of fundraising for our chosen charity of the year, Abby's Heroes

Over the next seven days, our team will take turns on the bikes at our Southampton HQ, while colleagues cycling outside the office can also add their miles through Strava.

It’s a big challenge, but we know what we can achieve when we come together behind a shared goal. 💪

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at Connect It who is giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to help make this happen. We’ll also be joined by some special guests along the way!

We’re aiming to raise £3,000 through mile sponsorship, with every £5 donated sponsoring one mile.

“How are things really going?”

“I’ve noticed you’ve been a bit out of sorts lately. How are you coping?”

“You seem like you’ve been under a lot of pressure recently. Can I talk to you about it?”

You don’t need to be a counsellor, mental health professional or expert to ask a question and listen.

You don’t need to have the answers. You don’t need to solve someone’s problems.

Sometimes, one of the most important things you can do is ask the question, listen without judgement and help someone find the right support.

Su***de remains a significant issue within our industry. Today is a reminder of the power of conversation and how simply reaching out can help someone who may be carrying a heavy load feel less alone and more supported.

Maybe you’ve noticed someone becoming more withdrawn, or seen changes in their mood or behaviour. Keep an eye out for the warning signs. And, most importantly, start the conversation.

Here at Connect It, we’re proud to support The Lighthouse Charity, which provides dedicated mental health and wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

A fantastic week of fundraising! 💜

This July, we came together to raise funds for an Pizza Night for the children and families on the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital.

Pizza Night is about so much more than a meal. It gives families precious time together, offers a welcome distraction from the challenges they are facing, eases the pressure of preparing dinner, and reminds them that they are surrounded by kindness, compassion and support during an incredibly difficult time.

This week, Community Committee members Christine, Emily, Nicole and Jacob visited teams across the business, raising awareness and collecting donations.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our CIUS employees, we raised £296 – enough to fund one of these special evenings on the ward.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the fundraiser, and to our Community Committee for organising the collection.

Something exciting is in the making…

We’re working with the fantastic .video team on a new project.

Members of the Connect it team joined Andy and Sam, who transformed our boardroom in a filming studio on Tuesday, for a day of filming!

We had a lot of fun, were made to feel totally at ease from the kind support provided by Andy and Sam, and we can’t wait to continue working these guys the next stage of filming!

👟💙 Team Connect It Takes on Abby's Heroes' 10 Miles for 10 Years Walk! 💙👟

We're incredibly proud of Team Connect It for putting on their walking boots and taking part in the 10 Miles for 10 Years Walk, journeying from Eastleigh to Abby Gardens in Wi******er in support of our chosen Charity of the Year.

Yesterday’s event was especially meaningful as Abby's Heroes celebrates an incredible milestone – 10 years of supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer. Reaching a decade of making such a positive difference is a remarkable achievement, and we were honoured to play a small part in marking the occasion.

A huge well done to those who took part and represented Connect It so brilliantly.

They reported back that the event was a huge success, featuring a beautiful walk through scenic nature trails, plenty of conversation along the way, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout. Most importantly, they were proud to help raise both awareness and funds for such an amazing cause.

It's always inspiring to see our team come together to support the communities and charities that make a real difference.

Ahead of International Women’s Day this Sunday, we’ve been celebrating the amazing women in our lives with a Connect It Cake and Post-it drop-in session today.

Teams from across the business stopped by to share words of kindness about women who inspire, support, or guide them. Each message was added to our wall of inspiration, creating a powerful display of appreciation and gratitude.

From teammates and mentors to friends and family members, today has been all about shining a spotlight on the incredible women who make a difference in our lives every day.
