🧱💪 ALL IN A DAY’S WORK! 👷‍♂️

Another productive day for the MJH Builders team!

A fantastic transformation on our latest project, constructing a new brick retaining wall to support a driveway that had started to move.

Finished with contrasting blue engineering brick capping for a smart, durable finish. 🧱👌

Working carefully around the existing trees and established plants, keeping everything protected along the way. 🌳

Quality workmanship, attention to detail and a cracking team effort! 💪

Good start at Greenwoods this morning getting the site secured and ready ahead of demolition works. 🔐

Temporary Heras fencing installed around the working area, complete with debris/privacy netting and a secured access gate to help keep the site safe and separated from the public before we start stripping out and demolition.

Another one taking shape for MJH Builders 👷‍♂️🏗️

We’ve installed a substantial reinforced concrete footing ready for a new hollow-block retaining wall.

The existing driveway had started to move, so this wall is being constructed to properly retain and stabilise the ground for the long term.

Access has been fairly tight on this one, and we’ve also had to work carefully around some well-established plants and shrubs that the customer wanted to keep and protect throughout the works.

Next stage will be building the hollow-block retaining wall, reinforcing and concrete-filling the blocks before completing the face brickwork.

Another solid bit of groundwork going in properly from the foundations up. 💪

Big milestone on site today 👷‍♂️🏗️

Garage foundation poured and complete. ✅

A lot of preparation went into getting this ready:
• Compacted Type 1 sub-base
• Sand blinding
• DPM installed
• Two layers of reinforcing mesh correctly spaced on chairs
• 300mm reinforced concrete raft
• Concrete pumped directly into position and finished ready for the next stage

Great to finally get the concrete in after all the groundwork and reinforcement preparation. Now we give it time to cure before we start getting the brickwork up. 🧱

🏗️ Another productive stage completed on this project!

After leaving the new fibre screed to harden over the Bank Holiday weekend, Cody and Shay have been back on site pushing things forward.

The plasterboard and adhesive have been brought in and distributed ready for the next stage, and the structural RSJs have now been fully encased in fire-rated plasterboard ready for finishing.

The difference in this space is really starting to show now. With the structural work completed, the new floor down and the site cleared and tidied, everything is ready for Liam the plasterer to come in and start transforming it into a finished space.

Great progress from the team and another clean, organised site ready for the next trade. 👌🔨
