Stage 2 is well underway! 🚧

The next two foundation pours have now been completed to specification, ensuring the required depth is achieved for the swimming pool installation later in the project. 🏊‍♂️

We’ve also completed the blockwork, brickwork, drainage and block-and-beam floors for Phase 1.

Over the coming weeks, our focus will turn to installing a suitable retaining wall, as the existing wall is currently failing.

Another major milestone reached — plenty more to come! 💪🏗️

The split-level foundations have been dug, signed off by Building Control, and the concrete has now been poured. ✅

A recently completed porcelain patio project from start to finish.

This project included:
• Full dig out and site preparation
• Hardcore sub-base installation and compaction
• Reinforced concrete slab with thickened sections for a pergola
• Blockwork planter wall construction
• Full porcelain paving installation

A full-on week of drainage works at this property!

Because the house sits lower than road level, heavy rain was causing major surface water issues. To solve this, we installed ACO drains along the front of the building, along with a new road gully to deal with another low spot in the driveway.

We also installed a brand-new foul drainage pumping station. The property was originally a single-storey home, but with the basement now being converted into living space, gravity drainage simply wasn’t possible due to the low levels. The only solution was a pumped system to lift the waste water up to the main sewer connection.

Along the way, an unsafe set of old concrete steps also had to be removed to make everything safe and accessible again. 🏡 💧

Here’s a recently completed block paved driveway!

Block paving was chosen for its durability, and with the number of trees surrounding the property, it was the smartest long-term choice. Unlike other driveway surfaces, individual blocks can be lifted and replaced if they ever become damaged or stained — making maintenance much easier and more cost-effective over time.

Its flexibility in design also allowed us to create a shape that perfectly complements the front of the property, giving a clean, attractive finish while maximising practicality. 🧱🚗🚙

Extension completed! This project definitely came with its challenges. The previous conservatory had to be fully removed, along with the existing foundations, as they didn’t meet current building regulations — so everything had to go.

New compliant foundations were dug and poured, followed by the blockwork installation, 150mm concrete cavity, oversite preparation, and finally the new concrete floor slab poured.

A solid start to the build and now over to the team to continue bringing the extension together! 🏡 ☀️

Not only do gabions offer excellent drainage and flexibility on uneven ground, but they’re also an environmentally friendly solution that blends function with style.

Three vehicles, no turning space, and a 100m to reverse every single day… it was only a matter of time before it became a real headache.

So, we made a change that actually makes a difference.

We extended the driveway, installed a brand-new retaining wall, and finished it with a clean shingle surface. Now there’s space to move, turn, and park without the daily hassle.

A simple upgrade—but one that makes everyday life a whole lot easier. 🚗 🪏 🧱
