☀️ 3 Electrical Tips for the Heatwave ☀️

With the warmer weather, many of us are plugging in extra fans, using extension leads in the garden and spending more time outdoors. Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:

🔹 Avoid daisy-chaining extension leads. Plugging one extension lead into another can overload the circuit, especially when powering high-wattage appliances like fans or pressure washers.

🔹 Keep outdoor electrics protected. Only use outdoor-rated extension leads and sockets, and keep plugs and connections away from water, sprinklers and paddling pools.

🔹 Don't ignore warm sockets or plugs. If a socket, plug or extension lead feels unusually hot, switch it off and stop using it. Heat can be a sign that something isn't right and it's worth getting it checked before it becomes a bigger problem.
