Helping young people picture a future in construction 👷‍♂️

Last week, the Skill Scaffolding team attended the fifth i-Construct event at CTEC in Farnham, joining Morgan Sindall and other organisations to showcase the opportunities our industry has to offer.

We spoke with students about careers in scaffolding, shared our own experiences and answered their questions about getting started in construction. It was encouraging to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm from the next generation.

Thank you to our scaffolding inspector for sharing his knowledge, our marketing and commercial teams for their support, and the Hampshire Construction Training Association for organising the event.

Most importantly, thank you to every young person who stopped to speak with us. We hope those conversations gave you something to think about as you explore your next steps.

🎥 Here’s a look back at the day.

A busy day in the Skill Scaffolding yard! 💪
Plenty of scaffold ready to head out to site, with our yard and transport teams working hard to keep everything organised and moving.
Deliveries have been coming in too, keeping the team busy unloading and organising materials alongside the outgoing loads.
There’s a lot of work behind every delivery—from preparing the materials to getting the trucks loaded and on the road.
A big thank you to everyone putting in the work behind the scenes. 👏

🚁 AS PROMISED… THE DRONE FOOTAGE IS HERE! 🚁

Here’s the much-awaited footage, direct from our Commercial Department, courtesy of Tom Wall.

Capturing the beginning of the dismantling phase on this incredible 100-tonne project, the footage gives you a bird’s-eye view as our scaffold starts to come down and this beautiful historic masterpiece begins to reveal itself once again.

And what a sight it is…

The start of exposing the magnificent spire marks another important milestone in this restoration project, and we’re incredibly proud to have played our part in providing the access for this truly special building.

After months of hard work, planning, design and teamwork, it’s fantastic to see the original architecture slowly emerging from behind the scaffold.

Skill Scaffolding is incredibly proud to have been part of this prestigious project and to have contributed to the restoration of such an important piece of history.

For all your historic, heritage and restoration projects — from bridges to buildings, listed properties and everything in between — look no further than a scaffolding firm that delivers, is trusted, fully accredited and recognised as one of the leading providers across the South Coast and beyond.

IT’S NOT ALL WORK, WORK, WORK! 🏗️

Whilst we absolutely love being busy and keeping the Skill team moving, we also appreciate the importance of a little downtime, having some fun and, of course… that famous word — NETWORKING! 😉

Here are a few clips from two fantastic days out supporting some brilliant charity events, courtesy of Bellways and Dandara — two long-standing and valued clients of Skill Scaffolding.

And what can we say… they certainly know how to network! 😉🥂

Great company, great days, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, all for some fantastic causes. ❤️

We’re proud to support our clients beyond the projects and enjoy building relationships that go far beyond the scaffolding.Bellway Homes Dandara

Work hard. Play hard. Network harder! 😉
