Life’s been kicking my butt. This year kinda sucked for planting right? Was it just me? Anyway I am back on the road with another fiat 500 horse powered car to carry my garden goodies for next year

I’ll never get bored of some cosmos each summer, even if these ones are more bushy than tall, there are some lovely flowers growing at the Allotment for the pollinators 🥰🌸🌸

Well that was a great effort for my first year with sweetcorn. I just couldn’t get what I needed to the plot in time to protect it. The last six months has been challenging without the use of a car, and I think I carried Nine of these plants in one go to the plot when they were half as tall as me 🫣 well there might still be time to grow some more, in the meantime, I’ve carried two back home, so sorry Mr. Badger there’s none left for round two 🫠

This area will be a pumpkin patch instead as I have plenty more to plant, and the squash are doing well!

Sadly, wasn’t a very good visit this week, was my own fault as I had so much this week going on as well as a wedding and an MOT, I’m not able to currently use my car so I didn’t get my sweetcorn protected in time 😔 I may start again who knows I might have time. It was a good start for my first time growing it and I managed to save two plants to take Home 🏡

I decided to have a go and repair the cluster in my Fiat 500 2015 lounge. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be thanks to the Help of A K Speedo and his videos that helped me understand what to do! Sometimes you just have to take the leap and trust in yourself!

Allotment diary update pre heatwave chaos 🌱🫠
The sweetcorn and pumpkins are in and I am yet to add some beans to them. I went to check today and the silks are ready to be hand pollinated!
Been a bit slow to update and lost one of our pets today so it’s been a rubbish week but the plot is always a great place to clear your mind ☺️

I had a really good surprise this week where I was nominated to win an award from a local awarding body in the hair and beauty industry. I am currently self-employed as a beauty therapist and I started my own business in October but I had to take a small step back when my cars gearbox failed. (My poor sage)
Anyway, this was a really nice surprise to win best New talent for my beauty business! So to celebrate, I will be meeting up with the other winners to have a glass of ch*****ne and to receive my certificate ☺️
