Another solar installation progressing nicely in Taunton ☀️

We’ve installed the first 8 x 515W DMEGC all-black solar panels, with the remaining 2 x 465W panels to be fitted on our return visit.

The system will also be completed with:
✅ 3.68kW SolaX Hybrid Inverter
✅ 3.0kWh Battery Storage & BMU
✅ Bird Protection Mesh

Once complete, the customer will benefit from a 5.05kWp solar PV system with battery storage, helping to reduce electricity bills and maximise self-consumption of the energy they generate.

Looking forward to getting back and putting the finishing touches on another quality installation.

From battling the rain to finishing under blue skies 🌦️➡️☀️, the team have completed another quality installation for our customer in Merriott.

No solar? No problem. ⚡️

A home battery system can still significantly reduce your electricity costs without installing solar PV.

By charging overnight on a low-rate tariff and using that stored energy during peak hours, you can avoid paying the much higher daytime electricity rates and take greater control of your energy usage.

Many households are now paying around 30–40p/kWh during peak periods on certain tariffs, such as Octopus Cosy and Flux peak-rate windows. A battery system allows you to charge cheaply overnight during off-peak hours and then use that stored energy when electricity prices are at their highest.

This works seamlessly with your existing setup and is a great option for properties where solar isn’t suitable.

Been a busy few weeks for the lads up in Cardiff working on a project for Cardiff Council with Snug Services Group 👊

We’ve been installing these new Eco ESS battery & inverter cabinet systems across multiple properties – nice tidy setups, all housed externally and keeping everything clean, safe and compliant 🔋⚡

Fair play to the team, they’ve smashed through it and kept the standard high as always 💪

Big shout out to Eco-ESS as well – quality bit of kit and a really smart solution for these types of installs, especially when mounting to newly installed EWI isnt possible or clearance restrictions to building openings👏

From planning through to completion 👍

This project started with a full site assessment, including drone footage to accurately capture roof orientation and layout. From there, we created a detailed 3D design to ensure the system was optimised for performance and positioned correctly before installation began.

The final system consists of 28 panels (12.6kW) using a 9Kw Fox ESS Inverter paired with 2 x 10.36kWh Fox ESS batteries, giving the property a good balance of generation and storage.

By charging the batteries overnight on a low-rate tariff and using that stored energy during peak hours, this property can significantly reduce its electricity costs. During the day, the solar keeps the batteries topped up, with any excess energy exported back to the grid.

A well-designed system that not only reduces bills but makes full use of available tariffs and energy generation.
