When it comes to bathroom electrics, location really matters.

Bathrooms are divided into specific electrical “zones”. These zones determine what type of fittings can be installed and where, helping to reduce the risk of electric shock in areas where water is present.

For example:
• Areas closest to the bath or shower require higher levels of protection
• Certain light fittings must have the correct IP rating
• Some areas require RCD protection as an added safety measure
