An exciting new 8000m2 FastTrack Screeding project at The Grafton Shopping Centre!
The Grafton Centre Cambridge has teamed with ISG a dynamic global construction services company and FastTrack Screeding Limited to aid with its 18.5million substantial refurbishment. The rejuvenation of the centre will create a more inviting shopping, dining and leisure destination for the people of Cambridge to enjoy.
FastTrack Screeding has begun phase two of a multi phased contract to refurbish the floors using a FastTrack Screeding ultra rapid flooring solution.
With over 8000m2 of floor area to break out, re-screed and tile, FastTrack Screeding has already completed the Phase 1, a 450m2 walkway, and the Toilet Block, of 450m2 using Ardex A38, a ready to walk on, after 3 hours rapid drying floor screed solution, allowing for the laying of the ceramic tiles directly after only 4 hours. The Ardex solution used by FastTrack Screeding allows the centre to remain open during the renovation, a money saving gold mine for the centre who have retained 1000’s in costs.
The FastTrack Screeding solution for Grafton Centre remains on time and on budget. The refurbishment is planned for completion summer 2017. Plans for phase two, 3500m2 have commenced and include improvements to the Great Court and the creation of a new restaurant quarter, to complement the recently refitted Vue Cinema.
