October is spooky enough without a fence that looks like it’s about to give up! 👻

Sometimes it’s not the garden that needs attention. It’s the first impression.

👉 This entrance in Stoke Poges had plenty of mature greenery, but the hedging had started to dominate the boundary and hide the shape of the wall underneath.

✅ Rather than taking too much off, we worked with the existing hedge and brought it back into proportion. The aim was to keep the privacy and established feel, but make the frontage look sharper and more intentional.

You can really see the difference in the brickwork afterwards too – once the hedge is properly shaped, the whole entrance reads more clearly!

It’s a small maintenance job compared with a full garden transformation, but for kerb appeal it can make just as much impact.

New fencing installed in Stoke Poges! 🛠

This project is a good example of why the groundwork matters just as much as the finished fence.

The existing boundary was overgrown and uneven, so before any panels went in, the area had to be cleared and the fence line properly set out.

From there, we:

👉 Cleared the working area and marked the new boundary
👉 Installed concrete posts and gravel boards for a stronger, longer-lasting base
👉 built the timber framework between each post
👉 Fitted the new timber fencing panel by panel
👉 Kept the line consistent through a narrow, planted part of the garden
👉 Finished with a clean, solid boundary that feels much more private and secure

You only really see the finished fence at the end, but getting the posts, levels and spacing right is what makes the difference between a fence that looks good now and one that stays that way!

Overgrown boundary cleared and new garden fencing installed.

For this recent project, we carried out a full garden boundary clearance before installing a new timber fence along the side of the property.

The old boundary had become heavily overgrown, so we first cut back and removed the vegetation, cleared the access and prepared the line properly for the new fence installation.

The finished job included:

✅ Garden clearance along the boundary
✅ Cutting back overgrown shrubs and vegetation
✅ Preparing the fence line
✅ New timber fence installation
✅ Concrete gravel boards and posts
✅ Full tidy-up of the working area

A proper autumn reset in Stoke Poges! 🍂

This garden had become heavily overgrown, with dense planting, untidy edges and parts of the space starting to feel hidden rather than usable.

For this job, we focused on bringing it back under control without stripping away all of the character.

👉 We carried out a full garden clearance, cut back and pruned the overgrown hedging and shrubs, opened up the area around the existing patio, removed unwanted growth and generally reclaimed the space so it feels much cleaner and easier to manage.

A garden makeover doesn’t always mean ripping everything out and starting again!

👉 For this project, the goal was to make the space feel more polished and practical while keeping the parts that already worked.

We added new timber fencing for a cleaner, more private boundary, worked the existing lighting into the layout, reshaped the planting area, introduced fresh shrubs and flowers, and finished the beds with bark mulch for a neat, low-maintenance result.

The curved brick edging was kept and used to frame the planting, so the finished space still feels like this garden, just much more considered.

That’s often what good landscaping comes down to: knowing what to keep, what to improve and where a few well-chosen changes will make the biggest difference!
