The Cut Flower Garden

The Cut Flower Garden 🌸Sussex,UK based Flower Farm. Floristry Workshops. Supplying flowers to Florists, PYO, DIY Wedding and Farewell Flowers

The Cut Flower Garden is a flower farm near the village of Slinfold in West Sussex, run by Alison and Richard Brown. With a background in garden design and landscaping, they have developed part of their four-acre smallholding into a cut-flower growing field dedicated to sustainably grown seasonal flowers.

'We grow flowers from seed with an emphasis on local supply. Our stems are sold as fresh

bunches, buckets to florists, and to brides for DIY wedding flowers.

In addition to flower production, we host floral and craft workshops and season-based activities. Our growing field, woodland copse and garden setting provide a backdrop for visitors to wander, learn and engage with the natural process.

Our open Sunday mornings welcome visitors PYO directly from the field with tea and cake readily available, and we also operate on appointment on other days.

The Cut Flower Garden aims to combine horticultural and landscaping experience with a dedication to locally-grown, seasonal flowers, offering services to both wholesale florists and individual customers alike. Find out more on our website about workshops, wedding and farewell flowers. We look forward to sharing our flowers and farm with you.

Ginger enjoying a treat this afternoon. He is food obsessed as are most Shetlands 🐴 The ponies here are kept on a track system which means we have fences around the perimeter of the field four meters in from the edge therefore creating a continuous loop. They move around it all day and night and it keeps them lean and fit. Ginger has a GPS tracker attached to him and he averages at between 13 and 18 miles every 24 hours. All their own choice and it means we can leave a constant supply of hay for them to forage whenever they choose

I’m bored of covering the Dahlias. Thankfully I had my Flower Friends Friday team to help cover them last night as it went down to 2 degrees which is low enough for there to be a frost. Moving swiftly on to our precious Gingerbread who is also suffering in this weather. Sweating during the day then cold at night. I do remind him every evening that the clue is the name ‘Shetland’ so the cold shouldn’t be bothering him that much. Living in Sussex has softened him I’m afraid ❤️
