Transformation Thursday!
A tired traditional fireplace was in need of some love!
Corner rebuilt, fully raked out and repointed with fresh lime mortar - ready for heaths and log burners! Watch this space 🤟

Very excited to get the ball rolling on a new Peak Moor Sandstone door surround. This will be fitted to the front of a new build property in a small Lincolnshire wolds village.
👉🏻Bespoke designed, stone sampled and sourced through Chris.

This wall was in serious need of TLC. Cement patched, pointed, with de-laminating stones everywhere. Originally we were booked for a rake out and repoint - which quickly turned into a minor collapse… with only the cement patch repointing holding it together! Cementitious mortars ontop of original joints erodes the bond - turning everything behind the non porous cement into dust, and losing structural integrity.

Alex, Adam, Chris and young Josh have had fun rebuilding, replacing and repointing this traditional stone wall. Roughly 3 tonnes of material removed, 2 tonnes of new stone in - and approximately 22 tonnes of effort!!

A tidy up on Monday and onto the next project! Let us know if your property needs some tender loving care… before it’s too late!

Some below ground repointing works completed. Once the base stones had been exposed, some care was needed to ensure they will be safe and secure, ready for a new path to be laid!

Throwing up an extension in a village outside Lincoln this week - and an added troublesome re-point in a little nuck in the top corner of the roof!

ABC Stonemasonry is very proud to show off our North Lincs project transformation;
1500+ man hours in repointing, brick cleaning, replacing bricks, rebuilds, new stone units supplied and fitted (thank you the_english_limestone_company) new cast stone front wall (thank you Warwick_cast_stone). Lime and brick mortar repairs, name and date stones hand carved on site, and a lot of sweat and tears!

Fresh bay cills installed here on our North Lincolnshire site; closing the 3 month long book on this site will be sad. We’ve enjoyed the sun, seaside and plenty of fish and chips!
