💧 Water Leak Above Your Electrical Wiring? Don’t Guess – Get It Checked.
We recently attended a property in Grantham following a plumbing leak that had affected areas of the electrical installation.
The customer was understandably concerned about the safety of the wiring and whether the circuits could still be used safely.
Our first visit was carried out out-of-hours to make the installation safe by isolating affected circuits and assessing any immediate risks. We then recommended a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) to determine the extent of any damage and identify any underlying issues within the electrical system.
Once the affected ceilings and floorboards had been removed, we returned to carry out the necessary first-fix electrical works and install a new consumer unit, ensuring the installation could be tested, certified and safely returned to service.
⚠️ Water and electricity are never a good combination. Even if everything appears to be working normally after a leak, hidden damage can remain within cables, connections and accessories.
If you’ve had a water leak, flood damage, or concerns about the condition of your electrical installation, we can carry out a professional EICR and advise on any remedial works required.
