Just installed a PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) system to help deal with mould and poor air circulation in a property.

If you're noticing condensation on windows, mould on walls or that stale damp smell, it could be a ventilation issue rather than a heating problem.

One of those small upgrades that makes a big difference…

If you’ve ever had an electric toothbrush charger dangling off the sink or wrapped around a tap, this one’s worth a look.

Swapped out a standard shaver socket for a ProofVision toothbrush charger fits straight into the wall, no extra cables, just a clean setup that actually charges the brush properly.

Ideal if you’ve got more than one brush flying around or just want to tidy things up a bit. Quick install, neat finish, job done.

Getting a build-up of moisture, damp or mould? This customer was. Their outbuilding’s used for washing and drying, and without any ventilation, the place was constantly damp.

A humidity-controlled extractor fan went in, it kicks in automatically when moisture levels rise, no need to touch a thing.

Now the air clears on its own and the risk of damp is massively reduced. Simple fix, big difference.

💬 Remember back in the day when it would be lightning outside and your mum was running round whipping the TV plug and aerial out the back? 😂

Did you know that was her version of surge protection? And to be fair she wasn’t wrong.

⚡ These days, we’ve got SPDs (Surge Protection Devices) that do the job properly. They protect your electrics from voltage spikes caused by lightning, power cuts, or even big appliances switching on and off.

Those tiny spikes can fry sensitive gear like:

📺 TVs (£400–£1000+)
📶 Routers (£50–£150)
🔥 Boilers & smart thermostats (£500+)
🎮 Consoles & computers (£300–£2000)
🧊 Fridges/freezers (£300–£800)

An SPD sits inside (or next to) your fuse board and costs way less than replacing any of that kit above.

Definitely worth thinking about especially if you’ve got a tech-filled house, your mum would've had a meltdown.

Just wrapped up lighting this bathroom. The recessed LED strips give the ceiling a clean, modern look and the brushed bronze fittings add a nice bit of warmth. The backlit mirror finishes it off perfectly. Still a couple of finishing touches left, but the customer’s over the moon with it, which is always the main thing.
