The existing surface was planed out to the required depth before preparation and relay works were undertaken, creating a new, consistent carriageway surface ready for the next stage of the project.

Elm Surfacing has completed a 1,900mΒ² resurfacing scheme in Longfield, Kent - involving the planing out of the existing carriageway and preparation of the surface prior to the installation of the new asphalt course.

The works were undertaken in accordance with the project requirements, with careful attention to levels, depth and surface preparation throughout the scheme.

Following completion of the planing operation, 40mm of SMA 10 Surf PMB was laid across the 1,900mΒ² area.

The specification provides a robust surface course solution, with the polymer-modified binder offering enhanced resistance to deformation and improved performance under traffic loading.

Our experienced surfacing teams managed the works efficiently from initial preparation through to final installation, maintaining the required standards across the completed area.

Required Qualifications & Tickets

Applicants should hold as many of the following as applicable:

* CSCS
* Street Works qualifications
* 360 Excavator / Digger ticket
* Dumper ticket
* Roller ticket
* Banksman / Slinger Signaller
* First Aid
* Lifting qualifications
* Full UK driving licence
* Any other relevant highways, civils or plant qualifications

The works covered a total area of 360mΒ², with careful attention to levels, regulating and achieving the required compacted depths across the site.

Materials installed:

50T AC20 binder course
40T AC10 surface course

From preparation and regulation through to the final surface course, our experienced team delivered the works with a focus on accuracy, consistency and quality workmanship.
