pinning down patch of the hessian sheet on the final screen, you can see me using a large flat bed iron to press the cloth flat because if I don't it will stay creased forever. this 4 minute clip is a compressed 50 minute process.

One screen now covered with the Hessian cloth, not a job I would want to do again as it's extremely difficult to get it to stay in place whilst you tack it down.

First patch of Hessian fixed to the screen, please be kind as I'm not an upholsterer. What do you think??

Screens all stained and two coats of satin varnish, they are ready for the Hessian sheets to be fixed once it has dried overnight.

Feet fitted to the screens , I have given them a sand with a 400grit microfiber to remove any nibs from the stain and will now give it another coat of stain to ensure an overall even coverage.

Giving the two screens their final sand ready for staining

Both screens now complete and have had several layers of sanding taking us down to 120 grit, tomorrow sand to 180 grit and stain.
