🔥 Media wall installed today! 🔥

Today’s job was installing this lovely bespoke media wall, designed to work with the curved features already running throughout the client’s home.

There was also a brick chimney breast behind the media wall, which made the design a little more challenging. The existing alcoves either side were different sizes, and with the customer having quite a few appliances going into the right-hand side, they wanted to retain as much space as possible there. So the design was carefully adjusted to make the right-hand section larger than the left.

we incorporated curved units either side of the main media wall, complete with seamless LED lighting underneath each shelf.

The great thing about this one was that it was fully manufactured and pre-finished in the workshop, meaning the installation itself was completed in just one day. This keeps the disruption, mess and time spent in the customer’s home to an absolute minimum, which is always a bonus! 👌

Unfortunately, the electrics aren’t switched on in the house just yet, so I couldn’t get any photos of the LED lighting working.

The customer-supplied electric fire has also been installed, and the soundbar bracket is already fitted ready for the soundbar to be clipped on once it’s ready.

The customer also chose smoked glass doors for the side units, which I think look fantastic in the room. With various appliances going inside, the smoked glass means the remotes can still work without having to leave the doors open.

The whole unit was pre-spray finished in the workshop in 80% gloss. The room was quite dark, so the customer wanted a higher sheen to help reflect and bounce a little more light around the room. It certainly wasn’t the easiest finish to spray, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out in the end. 😍

The TV is still to be fitted, and the customer is taking care of fitting the coving and finishing the decorating themselves.

Another one nearly there, and I can’t wait to see the finished room once everything is complete! 👌

A great way to start the week! 🔨

This week has kicked off with 8 beautiful pre-finished oak internal doors supplied and installed, complete with all-new ironmongery.

The job also included replacing the existing garage door with a FD30-rated fire door and door closer, giving the property an important upgrade in both appearance and fire protection.

All of the door edges that needed trimming were carefully dressed and treated with Osmo oil, ensuring the exposed oak is properly protected and blends seamlessly with the factory finish.

One of the big advantages of pre-finished oak doors is that they arrive ready to go, with the protective finish already applied ….no painting, staining or ongoing finishing required. Just fit them, keep them clean and enjoy them! 👌

Another job ticked off and another happy customer. 👍

🔨 It’s been a busy week in the workshop! 🔨

We’ve got two exciting projects on the go at the moment, and I can’t wait to see them both come together.

First up is a beautiful media wall with curved details and some seriously nice features 😍. The main structure is now in the spray booth, where it’s being spray finished ready for installation next week. 🎨

We’ve also got a bespoke home office unit well underway, which is starting to take shape nicely. 💻🪚

Both projects are being built here in the workshop before heading out for installation, meaning everything can be finished properly and ready to go when it reaches the customer’s home.

Can’t wait to see these two finished, installed and brought to life! 👌

Another media wall installed today 🔥

As usual, this one was pre-made in my workshop before heading out for installation, making the whole process so much quicker and cleaner.

This design features shaker-style doors, seamless LED lighting with concealed trunking, and we also supplied a heavy-duty, fully extendable TV wall mount and mounted the customer’s new TV.

One of the biggest advantages of having these made in the workshop is the installation itself. This one was basically in and out in half a day — minimal mess, minimal disruption, and we already know everything is going to fit exactly as it should.

Now it’s over to the decorator to get it finished off. Can’t wait to see the finished result! 👌

🚪 First job of the day!

First job this morning was installing this customer-supplied grey laminated fire-rated front door, along with new deadlocks.

It’s amazing what a difference a new front door can make. The grey finish has really brightened up the entrance and given the front of the property a much fresher, more modern look. 👌🔨

I also had a little helper with me today in the shape of my son Oakley. He worked hard and was absolutely over the moon when the customer gave him a little tip for his efforts! 😁💷

Safe to say, he’s now convinced this is a very good career choice! 😂

Another job done and another happy customer. 👍

Cottage Door Transformation 🏡

Another lovely cottage project, this time over in Challock, where i replaced the old timber door and frame with a beautiful new hardwood door and frame.

The new door features decorative patterned/frosted glass, a quality security lock, roller-ball hinges and traditional black ironmongery to complete the look.

The combination of the natural hardwood cill, classic detailing and black ironmongery works brilliantly with the character of the cottage, giving the entrance a much more timeless, smart and welcoming appearance, while also providing a modern, secure and durable door.

A great example of how replacing one feature can make such a difference to the whole front of a property. 👌
