Another year with excessive temperatures. As a gardener I have been noticing the changes for several years now and we just have to adapt to it.
Time to focus on drought loving plants, but taking into account how wet your planted areas may get in winter. Planning is the key, as with everything.
One of my favourite small plants, that has needed no extra care in this heat and blooms beautifully on little water, is Origanum rotundifolium. It has leaves like mini young eucalyptus foliage, intricate drooping pink bracts and they love the sun!
