Well, that’s been quite a week! 😅🚪
It’s certainly kept us on our toes! A busy few days, plenty of surprises, a few unexpected challenges and the occasional moment where you just have to laugh and get on with it.
But weeks like this remind us how lucky we are to have such a brilliant team.
We’re especially proud of Stuart, who always goes the extra mile, whatever the day throws at him. And a huge thank you to everyone else behind the scenes who keeps things moving.
To our customers, suppliers and everyone who has supported us this week — thank you. We really do appreciate your patience, kindness and continued trust in us. ❤️

There’s organised… and then there’s Stuart’s van organised. 😄

When you’re fitting doors every day, knowing exactly where everything is makes a difference. The right tool, in the right place, ready when it’s needed.

Less time rummaging around the van, more time getting the job done properly. 🚪🔧

A little trip to Ely today… and yes, that’s a lot of doors!

We stopped by Deanta’s impressive factory and distribution centre in Ely and couldn’t resist taking a look at the scale of the operation.

Rows upon rows of doors ready to make their way across the country — including plenty of the styles we fit every week back home in Shropshire.

It’s always interesting to see what goes on further up the supply chain and just how much happens before a door eventually arrives at a customer’s home.

We thought we had a lot of doors… Deanta may just have us beaten. 😄🚪

🚪 One pane. Plenty of light.

We really like this combination — the warmth of an oak door, with a single glazed panel positioned to borrow light from the room beyond without turning the whole door into glass.

It’s one of those choices that works particularly well in hallways and darker spaces, where every bit of natural light helps.

And with the oak grain running through those vertical panels, it looks rather good doing it too. 🤎

Sometimes a better door means a quieter home…

If you’ve ever been woken by someone closing a bedroom door at night, the door itself can make a difference.

A lightweight moulded door can sound hollow and tends to transmit more noise, whereas a solid-core door has more mass, helping to soften sound through the door and giving it that much more substantial, quieter feel when it closes.

🔊 Sound on for this one…

There’s something ridiculously satisfying about the solid clunk of a new composite door closing properly. 🚪👌

And with the weather beginning to turn, that sound means a little more — a door closing firmly against its seals, helping keep the draughts, cold and rain outside where they belong.

This Chartwell Green composite door certainly passes the satisfying-shut test. 💚

Go on… watch it again. We did. 😄
