And just like that… summer is nearly done. 🍂

A quick reminder that we’ll be closed this Bank Holiday Monday, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the long weekend — or, more realistically, start wondering where the summer went.

Back to school is just around the corner, the evenings are creeping in, and autumn won’t be far behind. 🍁

☀️ The third generation of Marshalls has arrived! 🚪

With some of the team taking a well-earned summer break, Sophie Marshall has stepped in to help us in the showroom and with the all-important data processing.

She’s had quite the week to start too — record heat, a busy showroom and plenty to keep on top of! 🥵😂 But we’re surviving, and she’s doing a brilliant job.

After more than 50 years as a family business, it’s rather special to see the third generation of the Marshall family getting involved.

We’re very proud of you, Sophie.

Now we just need to convince her to come back again… 😄

🌒 A little reminder for this evening… look up!

Shropshire gets a pretty special show tonight, with a partial solar eclipse visible from around 6:14pm, reaching its maximum at about 7:11pm. Around 93% of the Sun will be covered from Shrewsbury.

So if you’re home from work, grab a chair and find yourself a clear view towards the west. ☀️🌒

One important bit: don’t look directly at the Sun — proper eclipse glasses are essential.

But even in today’s heat, the fitting team have been out getting them measured, fitted and closing exactly as they should.

And after a hot day on the job, there’s something particularly satisfying about this sound… click. 👌🚪

Back doors deserve a bit of attention too. 💙

This lovely blue door was fitted today, and we think it looks brilliant against the red brick.

Front door, back door or somewhere in between — if you use it every day, it’s worth getting it right.

A big thank you to everyone who popped into our showroom over the last few days.

It’s been one of our busiest weeks for enquiries, and we really appreciate your patience while we’ve been helping customers and answering questions.

At the same time, Stuart has been out fitting another set of beautiful oak doors in Shrewsbury. It’s great to see another home transformed, and we’re so grateful to everyone who chooses to support a local family business.
