Been a little quiet on here lately, so here’s a quick update ☀️

The weather has been hot, but we’ve still been busy out on site fitting solar.

Here are our last 3 installs, all completed using Trina Solar 510W panels with SolaX X1-Hybrid-3.7-D inverters — efficient now and future-proofed for battery storage later on 🔋

The mission on this job was simple: relocate and upgrade the existing consumer unit to a safer, more practical position — and definitely not tucked away underneath a kitchen cabinet.

We upgraded the installation to meet current regulations and fitted one of our preferred boards from This setup includes RCBO protection and surge protection across all circuits, all housed within a durable metal-clad consumer unit.

As energy prices continue to rise, energy storage is becoming a crucial part of any modern installation.

This customer came to us to install a SolaX X3 3-phase energy storage system with 25kWh of battery storage, along with an EV charger to complement their previously installed solar PV system.

Why such a large system? With 9kW of solar generation, the added storage allows them to make the most of the energy they produce during the day, while also taking advantage of cheaper overnight grid charging rates. This helps reduce reliance on expensive peak-time electricity and gives them greater control over their energy costs.

In today’s climate, systems like this offer a practical way to manage bills and add stability, no matter what’s happening in the world.
