Hours: Up to 16 hours per week, spread over 3 days
Location: Shefford – Office Based
About Us
T J Plumbing Shefford Ltd is a busy, family-run plumbing, heating and air conditioning company with a growing team of engineers and office staff.
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Part-Time Office Administrator to join our team and help keep the day-to-day running of the business organised and efficient.
This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be working alongside our existing office team, helping customers, managing appointments and supporting our engineers out on the road.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Answering incoming calls and dealing with customer enquiries in a friendly, professional manner.
* Booking appointments and organising jobs for our engineers.
* Keeping customers updated and helping with general enquiries.
* Updating job details and customer information on our computer systems.
* Carrying out general office administration and data entry.
* Working closely with the office team and engineers to ensure jobs run smoothly.
* Helping with other day-to-day office tasks when needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and enjoys working with people.
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to help.
* Confident using computers and learning new systems.
* Able to multitask and stay organised in a busy office.
* Comfortable working under pressure when things get busy.
* Reliable, punctual and with good attention to detail.
* Happy working as part of a small, supportive team.
* Previous office administration or customer service experience would be an advantage.
Experience in plumbing, heating or the building trade would be helpful, but it’s certainly not essential. We’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.
