There’ll be a short talk and tour from 10.30, lots of plants for sale and refreshments included in the ticket price. Children free.

Woodland garden today with hellebores, snowdrops, pulmonaria and cyclamen in flower and warm enough for a bit of pollination! The Hamemmelis is only now going over after having been in flower for nearly 2 months - such a generous thing 🙂

5. It was great to meet up with fellow Sheffield alumni and plantsman & Tung Lin for plant walks around Taipei.

Woodland garden today...
1. Darmera peltata in front of hamemellis CV.
2. These liquidambar don't really come into leaf on our cool site until May, but the pay off is that they're reluctant to lose their leaves at all 🍁.
3. Liquidambar leaf litter
4,5. Seedheads of calamagrostis brachytricha
6. Mossy log & luzula Nivea
7. The ground layer is still colourful with Pulmonaria & fern Onoclea sensibilis
8. Lunaria rediviva and multi-stemmed birches
9. Evergreen Iris foetidus
10. Harts tongue fern, Asplenium scolopendrium with seedheads of Astilbes chinensis var. taquetii 'purplelanze'
11. A self sown molinia arundinacea and helleborous cv.
