Another successful air conditioning installation completed in Doncaster ❄️🔧
We were happy to help a customer improve the comfort of their boardroom and office area with the installation of two Toshiba wall-mounted air conditioning systems, complete with two outdoor condenser units securely mounted within security cages for added protection.

Our work included:

✅ Installation of both indoor and outdoor units
✅ Outdoor condensers mounted within security cages
✅ Refrigerant pipework installed and connected
✅ Electrical connections completed
✅ Condensate drainage installed
✅ Both systems test-run and operation checked
✅ Condensate drains tested to ensure correct drainage

Following commissioning and final checks, both air conditioning systems were fully operational and working correctly.

Another successful air conditioning installation completed for a local customer. 🙌
Our engineers were delighted to help improve the comfort of the customer’s meeting room with the installation of a new 3.5kW Mitsubishi Electric Compact Cassette system.

Meeting rooms can quickly become uncomfortable when occupied, particularly during warmer weather, so having effective temperature control can make a real difference for employees and visitors alike. The new system will provide efficient heating and cooling, helping to maintain a comfortable working environment throughout the year.

The compact cassette was installed neatly within the ceiling, providing effective air distribution around the room while keeping the installation discreet. For simple and convenient operation, a wall-mounted remote controller was also installed within the meeting room, allowing the customer to easily adjust the system to suit their requirements.

Once the installation was complete, our engineers fully tested and commissioned the system, carrying out the necessary operational checks to ensure everything was working correctly before handing it over to the customer

Our engineers have recently been busy completing another air conditioning installation at a school in Rotherham as part of an ongoing unit replacement programme.

The project involved replacing the existing equipment with two new Daikin cassette systems and two new Toshiba systems, reusing existing pipework, power supplies and interconnecting cables where suitable, and replacing sections where necessary. The new outdoor units were mounted on anti-vibration feet to help minimise noise and vibration during operation.

Following installation, all refrigeration pipework was pressure tested and a deep vacuum carried out to ensure the systems were dry and leak-free. All four systems were then fully tested and commissioned, with operational checks confirming correct heating and cooling performance.

Another successful installation completed by the Mattair team, providing the school with reliable and efficient heating and cooling.

Good luck to everyone with friends or relatives receiving their GCSE results tomorrow! 🤞We really hope they get the results they’re hoping for and that those results open the doors they’re looking for.

But if they don’t get the grades they wanted, it doesn’t mean their future is decided.

There are always other possibilities and different routes into a successful career. Training on the job, apprenticeships and learning as you go can all be great ways to build skills, gain experience and create opportunities.

Not everyone at Mattair followed the traditional path after school, but that hasn’t stopped them from building successful careers in HVAC.

Our Technical Sales Director, Ian Fisher, knows this from his own experience:
“My career journey taught me that exam results do not define your value. I left school having failed my exams, but those results did not decide my value or my future. I went back and retook them later in life, but it was my attitude, work ethic and reliability that kept me employed, earned people’s trust and helped me build the career I have today.”

It takes hard work, determination and dedication, and you have to be prepared to seize opportunities when they come along.

That’s also why we believe it’s so important to encourage young people to explore STEM subjects and careers. Ian is actively involved in STEM, helping to inspire and encourage the next generation to consider the opportunities available to them across science, technology, engineering and maths.

GCSE results are just one moment in someone’s journey. They don’t define their value, their potential or what they can achieve.

Whatever the results tomorrow, keep moving forward, keep learning and keep believing in yourself. You can do it! 💪

Another successful installation completed by our engineers.
We have recently completed the installation of 2 Daikin ceiling cassette air conditioning units in a technology classroom at a school in Rotherham. This project formed part of an end-of-life A/C replacement programme, upgrading an ageing system with a modern, energy-efficient solution.

We’re delighted to welcome Oscar to the team at Mattair as our newest Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer.
Oscar recently completed his NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Systems and joins us with 3 years of hands-on industry experience gained with a specialist refrigeration contractor.

During this time, he has developed strong experience in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of industrial and performance-critical refrigeration and climate control systems. His technical background includes working with low-GWP technologies such as CO₂ and A2L refrigerants, alongside specialist applications requiring high levels of reliability and control performance.

Oscar has also earned industry recognition through the 2025 ACR Cooling Industry Awards, where he achieved 3rd place in the Refrigeration Apprentice of the Year category and was named a finalist for Air Conditioning Apprentice of the Year.

We’re excited to have Oscar on board and look forward to the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm he will bring to the Mattair team.

Another successful A/C maintenance visit completed at a 35-storey residential building.

Our team has been on-site carrying out a full service to ensure optimal system performance and indoor air quality. This included:

• Cleaning and treating indoor units to eliminate odours
• Cleaning filters to maintain strong, efficient airflow
• Checking all indoor connections for reliability
• Cleaning outdoor units with universal coil cleaner to improve airflow and efficiency
