Celebrating 10 years of dedication!

Congratulations to our Project Engineer Matt Andrews, who is celebrating an incredible 10 years with Airmaster.

Since joining us as a Site Supervisor in 2016, Matt has built an outstanding career, progressing into his current Project Engineer role, where he now manages complex mechanical services projects from planning through to successful completion.

As part of his ongoing professional development, Matt (alongside Gareth Campbell, Ross Blackwood and Andrew Lambert) has also recently achieved the NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contracting Operations Management – a nationally recognised qualification that strengthens the leadership, communication and project management skills needed to successfully deliver complex construction projects for our customers.

At Airmaster, we're passionate about investing in our people. As an employee-owned business, we know that developing talented individuals like Matt helps us continue to deliver the high standards our customers expect.

Congratulations, Matt, on both your 10-year milestone and your fantastic achievement. Thank you for everything you've contributed over the past decade – here's to many more years of success! 👏

At Airmaster, we believe that investing in people is one of the best investments any business can make.

That's why we're delighted to announce the promotion of James Dawson to Design Director and his appointment to Airmaster's Board of Directors.

James joined us in 2016 as our very first graduate engineer. Ten years later, he has progressed to become a Board Director, a fantastic achievement and a reflection of his technical expertise, leadership and commitment to continuous development.

Today, James leads our design team, mentors the next generation of engineers, and plays a key role in shaping the future of our employee-owned business.

His journey demonstrates what's possible when talented people are given the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. It's a story we're incredibly proud to celebrate.

Congratulations, James, on this well-deserved promotion. We look forward to seeing everything you'll achieve in your new role.

🎉 We're proud to have achieved Investors in People Silver accreditation.

This year marks 21 years of Investors in People at Airmaster, making this achievement even more special.

Our journey with Investors in People began in 2005, driven by a commitment to create a workplace where people can develop, apprenticeships can thrive, and continuous improvement is part of our everyday culture.

Since then, we've continued to evolve. Becoming an Employee Ownership Trust, strengthening our management systems and investing in our people have all played an important part in helping us reach this milestone.

Silver isn't just recognition of where we are today – it's acknowledgement of the commitment shown by our entire team over many years.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the recent IiP survey and interviews. Your honest feedback helped us achieve this accreditation and, more importantly, will help shape the next stage of our journey.

As Managing Director Lisa Pogson said:

"Achieving Investors in People Silver is something we should all be proud of, but it's not the finish line. It's recognition that we're moving in the right direction and gives us the motivation to keep listening, keep improving and continue building a business where people enjoy coming to work and can develop fulfilling careers."

Congratulations to every member of Team Airmaster on this fantastic achievement. Here's to continuing to invest in our people and building an even stronger business together.

🍦 Keeping our cool on one of the UK's hottest days... ❄️☀️

Today we're proud to celebrate World Refrigeration Day 2026, an international campaign recognising the vital role that refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technologies play in modern life.

As an Official Sponsor of World Refrigeration Day, we're delighted to support an initiative that shines a spotlight on an industry that keeps businesses operating, protects food and medicines, creates comfortable working environments and is helping drive the transition to more energy-efficient buildings.

Appropriately, on one of the hottest days of the year so far, the Airmaster team took a well-earned break to enjoy an ice cream together! 🍦😎

While we were cooling down, our maintenance and service engineers have been hard at work responding to a busy week of air conditioning call-outs across the region. When temperatures rise, reliable cooling becomes essential, not just for comfort, but for productivity and business continuity.

The best way to avoid unexpected breakdowns is through planned preventative maintenance.

Regular servicing helps to:
✅ Improve system efficiency
✅ Reduce energy consumption
✅ Extend the life of your equipment
✅ Identify issues before they become costly failures
✅ Keep your workplace comfortable all year round

If your air conditioning system hasn't been serviced recently, now is the perfect time to book a maintenance visit.

📞 Get in touch with our team to discuss your air conditioning maintenance requirements.

Happy World Refrigeration Day!

This morning, on International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) 2026, we were proud to sponsor the Better Together Forum, hosted by The Work-wise Foundation and Skills Street.

As a business committed to developing future talent, it was fantastic to support an event focused on helping young people thrive in the workplace and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations between employers, educators and early-career professionals.

Representing Airmaster at the forum were our Managing Director, Lisa Pogson, alongside Mechanical Design Apprentice Max Brough and Marketing Apprentice Lee-Anne Batty, whose perspectives and experiences reflect the importance of investing in the next generation of talent.

The morning featured valuable discussions around skills for growth, apprenticeship pathways and supporting young people as they develop their careers. It was also particularly fitting to take part on INWED, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in engineering and encouraging more young women to consider careers in STEM.

Thank you to The Work-wise Foundation and Skills Street for organising such an insightful event, and to everyone who contributed to the discussions.

We’re proud to have taken part in the Steel City Cup, supporting the incredible work of Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity.

Held at Parkwood Karting on last week, the qualifying round brought together businesses from across Yorkshire for a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and fundraising. A special mention must go to Rowan Campbell-Pilling, whose passion, commitment and tireless efforts continue to make the Steel City Cup such a successful event year after year.

Airmaster entered two teams into the competition, and we’re delighted that one of our teams secured an impressive 3rd-place finish. Congratulations to Tom Healy, Scott Wolstenholme and Luke Grant, who claimed a place on the podium behind Irwin Mitchell in 1st and Gripple Limited in 2nd.

It was a brilliant event for an even better cause, helping to raise vital funds that support the life-changing work carried out by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all the businesses that took part. We’re proud to support such an important local charity and look forward to being involved again in the future.

Airmaster Achieves ISO 45001 Health & Safety Accreditation, Reinforcing Commitment to People and Performance

Airmaster is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System certification, further strengthening its commitment to providing a safe, healthy and resilient working environment for employees, clients and partners.

ISO 45001 is an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management. It provides a structured framework for identifying hazards, managing risk, meeting legal obligations, and continuously improving health and safety performance, while promoting strong leadership and employee engagement at all levels of an organisation.

The certification has been awarded following a successful independent audit conducted by AUVA Certification, a UKAS Accredited Body, Airmaster’s ISO certification partner.

Ian Chapman, QSHE & Compliance Manager at Airmaster, commented:

“Achieving ISO 45001 is a significant milestone for Airmaster and reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the health, safety and well-being of everyone involved in our operations. This has been a true team effort, and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Sam Casadei, Matt Andrews and Lee-Anne Batty for their dedication and hard work in helping us reach this standard. Their contribution has been instrumental in embedding robust systems and a positive safety culture across the business.”
