⚔️ Battle of the Boardrooms ⚔️

Sheffield United host Lincoln City Football Club this Saturday afternoon in their first game back after the international break, and there’s a little extra interest in this one for the team at Creative Building Projects.

We’ve been fortunate enough to put our handiwork into hospitality spaces at both clubs.

🔸 At Bramall Lane, we delivered the full refurbishment of Sheffield United’s Boardroom, transforming the space into a modern, high-quality environment for the club.

🔸At Lincoln City, we recently completed the refurbishment of the Owners Lounge, including bespoke wall panelling, feature joinery and new hospitality facilities.

So, before the action gets underway on the pitch, we thought we’d settle another important contest...

We’re proud to be supporting the refresh of a very special space at Sheffield Children’s as part of the Trust’s 150th anniversary year.

The newly named Reflection Garden will provide a peaceful and welcoming place for patients, families and colleagues to remember loved ones, reflect and find comfort.

Creative Building Projects is carrying out the building works as part of the wider garden refresh, working alongside Hortus Collective, who are leading the artwork and garden design.

The project will sensitively preserve existing memorial features while reusing elements of the current garden wherever possible, helping to create an accessible space that respects the many memories and connections it holds.

Work is now underway, with completion expected in autumn 2026.

We’re pleased to play a part in creating a lasting space that will support generations of children, families and colleagues at Sheffield Children’s.

Project complete at Victoria Road, Barnsley. 👏

We’ve completed the full renovation and conversion of a residential property, creating a new supported living facility for 16 to 18-year-olds in partnership with Barnsley Council.

The completed facility provides safe, practical spaces designed to help young people build confidence and develop the skills needed for independent living.

The works included:

▪️ Five self-contained flats with kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces
▪️ Shared kitchen facilities for cooking and life skills training
▪️ Staff office and accommodation areas
▪️ Laundry facilities
▪️ External landscaping
▪️ Full roof replacement

Delivered during a challenging summer period, the project required careful planning around a tight site, limited storage space and restricted delivery access.

A fantastic transformation, creating a facility that will support young people as they prepare for the next stage of their lives.

Project complete at Lincoln City Football Club ⚽

The refurbishment of the Owners Lounge is now complete, bringing the original design concept fully to life.

The finished space creates a high-quality hospitality environment for the club’s owners, directors, guests and sponsors, with works including:

▪️ Full refurbishment of the Owners Lounge
▪️ Bespoke wall panelling and feature joinery
▪️ New hospitality facilities
▪️ Finishing works throughout

Delivered within a tight off-season programme, the project required careful coordination around lead times, materials and the bespoke elements of the fit-out.

A fantastic finished result, ready for the new season. 👏

Project complete at Woodhouse West Primary School.

We’ve recently completed a programme of extension and refurbishment works, creating improved spaces for both pupils and staff across the school.

The works included:

▪️ A new infill extension connecting two existing buildings and providing a dedicated staffroom for teachers
▪️ Conversion of a former classroom into an Integrated Resource Unit, including a safe space and secure outdoor activity area
▪️ A self-contained staffroom and toilet
▪️ Refurbishment of hallway bathrooms
▪️ Refurbishment of side rooms to create flexible multi-use spaces
▪️ Resurfacing and landscaping of external areas

The project was delivered within a live school environment, requiring careful planning and coordination to minimise disruption throughout the works.

The programme continued into the summer holidays, with all works completed in time for the start of the new school term.

A fantastic result for Woodhouse West Primary School, part of Sheffield South East Trust, and another education project we’re proud to have delivered. 👏

The August Bank Holiday is almost here! ☀️

What went into the £1.5m transformation of one of Sheffield’s longest-standing youth clubs?

Earlier this year, Double Six Youth Club in Woodseats reopened following a major refurbishment, with Creative Building Projects acting as main contractor.

The project involved a complete transformation of the building and surrounding site, including:

▪️ Full internal and external refurbishment
▪️ Complete internal strip-out and fit-out
▪️ New M&E installations throughout
▪️ Renewable energy upgrades
▪️ Re-roofing and repointing
▪️ New windows and doors
▪️ Full external landscaping
▪️ A new MUGA pitch

Behind the finished result was a challenging build.

The tight site and busy Woodseats location required careful coordination of deliveries and waste removal, while welfare provision and material storage had to be managed around multiple work areas progressing at the same time.

Combined with a complex bespoke design, it meant detailed planning was needed throughout the programme to keep the different elements moving.

The result is a completely renewed facility that gives Double Six Youth Club a modern, practical base from which to continue supporting young people across the area for years to come.

A great project to look back on, and one we’re proud to have delivered for such an important Sheffield community facility.

Project Complete | Pen*stone Library

We’re pleased to share the completion of our refurbishment project at Pen*stone Library.

Completed in April 2026, the project formed part of a wider investment to modernise and future-proof the building, creating an improved community facility for local residents and service providers.

The scheme included:

▪️ Major building infrastructure improvements
▪️ Refurbishment and improvement works to the roof
▪️ Modernisation of the existing library building
▪️ Improved facilities for community and public services

The building now brings the library and a range of local services together under one roof, including DIAL, the Pen*stone Area Team, the NHS midwifery team, Citizens Advice and South Yorkshire Police's Barnsley West Neighbourhood Policing Team.

We’re proud to have contributed to the transformation of Pen*stone Library, helping to create a modern, practical and accessible community hub that is ready to support the local area for years to come. 📚
