‘It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the first stage of our planting design take shape at Overgate Hospice as part of the development of its new facilities for patients and families. In the children’s area, flowering Pictorial Meadows Turf® wraps around an informal seating area. It has already attracted plenty of bees and other pollinators, while continuing to flower throughout the drought.’

Many thanks to Martyn Wilson (Wilson Associates Garden Design) for sharing these great photos of Pictorial Meadows Turf® on display at Overgate Hospice 🌼

The Campaign to Protect Rural England's award-winning garden sculpture ‘On the Edge’ has moved to its new permanent home at Park Hill and we've come to see the opening.

Park Hill is a famous brutalist landmark housing estate in Sheffield and Europe’s largest Grade II* listed building complex, which has been regenerated over the last decade to create a place people love. This has included a new landscape scheme that uses Pictorial Meadows Turf®, which is routinely maintained by our team, so we're looking forward to working alongside the stunning installation.

Not every landscape project has the luxury of a long establishment window. But you can plan ahead.

Pictorial Meadows Turf® is produced by expert growers in our fields and then supplied pre-grown, ready to flower. That means faster transformation, giving your scheme an immediate visual effect without waiting for a sown area to develop over time.

As summers become hotter and drier, planting resilience matters more than ever.

By incorporating wildflowers adapted to a wide range of climatic conditions, pre-grown Pictorial Meadows® is well equipped to cope with increasingly extreme weather. Once established, it can survive prolonged dry periods without irrigation and recover naturally when rainfall returns.

Our team had a good day yesterday doing plant identification and w**d management training at Sheffield’s Grey to Green scheme.

They were learning about which ‘w**ds’ to manage, which ones to leave and when/how to remove them.

All of this requires good plant knowledge, observation, long-term thinking and an understanding of the ecology of self-seeding.
