As our climate becomes warmer and water becomes increasingly precious, we’re now offering water butts to help our customers collect rainwater and keep their gardens watered during dry weather.

Next year is predicted to be even hotter than this year, so collecting as much rainwater as possible throughout the autumn and winter could make a real difference to your garden next summer. Saving water is important not only for now, but also for the future.

We currently have the following sizes available:

💧 100-litre slimline water butt – £24
💧 210-litre water butt – £40
💧 250-litre water butt – £47

We can also professionally install your water butt and connect it to your downpipe for an additional charge.

🌿 Hidden high in the rolling hills above Lydney lies a breathtaking 16th-century cottage garden in St Briavels—an untouched landscape bursting with potential, history and wildlife, just waiting to be brought back to life.

This afternoon, I travelled over the bridge and through some incredible countryside to meet the lovely couple who have recently bought this beautiful property. The journey took me past the amazing Tintern Abbey, and I was blown away by the scenery—but the garden and its spectacular views were even more impressive!

The previous owner had lived at the property for more than 50 years, creating a wonderfully established garden filled with specimen plants and unusual varieties—some of which I haven’t seen for a very long time.

The new owners didn’t realise just how many special plants were growing there, so it was exciting to walk around with them, identify what they had and uncover some of the garden’s hidden treasures.

Like many gardens, it has suffered during this year’s extremely hot weather and now needs plenty of care and attention. We’ll be maintaining the property every week, helping to restore the garden, protect its special plants and prepare it for next year.

We’re going to take you along on this exciting journey, showing you how the garden looks before we begin, its progress along the way and the transformation as we bring it back to life.

I can’t wait to see what else we discover! 🌱🌸

We can:

🌸 Set up our mobile plant shop outside your premises on Saturdays

🚚 Supply you with quality plants to sell directly to your customers
🤝 Work together to attract more visitors and support both businesses

We can supply and manage the plant stall, offer friendly horticultural advice and leave the area clean and tidy afterwards.

💚 We’re Looking to Help Someone in Our Community 💚

At Adam the Gardener, we believe everyone deserves to feel comfortable and proud of their home.

We know that sometimes life can become overwhelming. Whether it’s because of physical health, mental health, disability, age, or difficult personal circumstances, keeping on top of a home and garden isn’t always possible.

That’s why we’re looking for someone in our local community who could really benefit from a helping hand.

We’re asking you to nominate someone who you feel deserves our support. This could be a friend, neighbour, family member, or someone you know who is struggling.

The person can remain completely anonymous if they wish, and we’ll always treat every nomination with kindness, respect, and confidentiality.

Once we’ve found someone and understand what they need, we’ll look at the best way to make it happen. This may include setting up a GoFundMe page so that our local community can get involved and help make a real difference.
