Border Tree Services was established in 1994 by Johnny Watson HND Arb, M.Arbor.A

The company provides professional tree care in the Scottish Borders. We are committed to providing a consistently high standard of service, and we work to the British Standard 3998. We are local authority approved, and have public liability insurance. The majority of our work is the reduction of trees which have whic

h have outgrown their surroundings. A particular interest is the thinning of small, high value woodlands to ensure a beautiful and stable woodland long term. We endeavor to operate in an environmentally friendly manner. We recycle waste and use eco friendly synthetic oil / petrol and organic chain oil.

Our wonderful yardsman, Theo, has moved to pastures new; so the doggies and I need some help with the following tasks:
keeping yard tidy;
filling woodchip boiler and dryer etc. with chips;
processing logs and kindling;
delivering logs;
helping our friendly tree surgery team on site;
loading and unloading trailers;
sawmilling;
vehicle maintenance;
farm maintenance;
d.i.y.
tractor driving and telehandler skills are an advantage.

Chainsaw ticket and experience with / aptitude for machinery would be a good head start; "on the job training" will be given.

Full or part-time candidates of any age will be considered (anything between 2 and 5 days a week).
