A fantastic example of why a thorough EICR matters ⚡

Following an EICR carried out by another contractor, we were asked to investigate and upgrade this installation. The original report was vague, to say the least, and no insulation resistance testing had been carried out.

Our inspection uncovered two linked submain supplies. This meant both submains would have needed to be isolated together to make the installation safe : an important issue that has now been resolved

We also found that only one of the boards was connected through the landlord’s check meter, meaning the tenant had been paying for just half of the electricity being used.

We carried out the necessary work and replaced the old distribution board with a safe, tidy and properly labelled installation. Another job brought up to a professional standard ✅

A proper EICR is about more than completing a form. It’s about thorough testing, finding hidden issues and making sure the installation is safe and correctly arranged.
