Ashbridge Roofing is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week by shining a light on something that’s been at the heart of the business for years: growing talent from within.

From roofing and scaffolding to commercial and planning roles, apprenticeships are helping shape every part of the company. Over the past six years, six apprentice roofers have qualified with Ashbridge, alongside four experienced roofers who’ve completed on the job NVQs to strengthen the team’s skills even further.

Every apprenticeship also contributes to wider social value, helping tackle skills shortages while reinvesting back into local communities.

Our Skills and Personal Development team has partnered up with Ashbridge Roofing to launch a brand-new training initiative in Grimsby. Designed to upskill and empower local unemployed individuals for entry level roles in the roofing industry.

📅Key dates and location
Selection and enrolment interviews: Tuesday 20 January 2026, 9:30am - 3:30pm. NET Training, Learning Centre, Osborne St, Freshney Place, Grimsby DN31 1EY.

📌Training schedule:
Monday 26 January: Level 2 Environmental Awareness and Employability
Tuesday 27 January: COSHH and Asbestos Awareness
Wednesday 28 January: Level 1 Health and Safety
Thursday 29 January: Construction Site Stress Awareness
Friday 30 January: CSCS Revision and Test Booking
Monday 2 February: Level 2 Emergency First Aid in the Workplace.
Date to be confirmed: COTS Course: CISRS Operative Training Scheme - one-day scaffolding induction for new entrants
