One of our members had a beautiful moment recently that we want to share...

Late one evening, sitting alone in a silent house, he was rereading something he'd just written when he heard a faint crack from the pot of daffodils on the table beside him. He thought he'd imagined it then it came again. The buds were opening.

He reached for his pen and wrote this poem before the moment could fade. Maybe you'll catch a little of that magic too.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴
It's late in the evening.
I'm alone at my table.
The house lies in darkness
save for a single lamp.
I sit wrapped in the silence,
just how I like it.
Only the distant clock —
tic… toc… tic… toc…
My hand guides the pen
back and forth across the page,
turning thoughts into words
and words into stories.
The silence breaks —
not by a neighbour's dog
nor a passing car.
There it is again.
I stop and listen.
A tiny, fragile crack.
On the table beside me
the daffodils begin to open.
Petals stretching slowly
from their winter sleep.
I sit very still
in the circle of lamplight,
listening carefully
as one flower opens…
and then another.
There are many still to come.
Alone in the quiet
I feel quietly privileged
to hear something so small.

Proof that Spring doesn't wait for sunshine. Our daffodils couldn't care less about the weather today and put on a show anyway! Bursts of cheery yellow to brighten dreary days? What do you think?

Great news for everyone who's been missing a splash of colour on Brewery Terrace! Our beloved planters were kindly taken in by Saundersfoot Harbour while the pavement works have been underway... and we're delighted to say they'll soon be back in their rightful home, hopefully in time to catch their Spring display. Keep your eyes peeled! 💛

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the Dragon Trail - you were all so good, so talon-ted ! 🌟 Whether you found one dragon or all twenty-four, it was wonderful to see so many of you exploring the village and joining in the fun. We hope you had a roar-some time! Thanks to Saundersfoot Rotary for bravely reaching into the dragon's mouth to pull out our winning entries - we hope they still have all their fingers! 😄 See you all again next year! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It definitely works! Sandyhill Nurseries Garden Centre & Florist 🔄😆

One of the prizes for the Dragon Trail is a gorgeous Sunflower Wind Spinner - a bright and cheery sight for your garden even when it's grey and raining. 🌻

Great news! The disruption in the village hasn't stopped the dragons getting here for Love Saundersfoot 's Cawl Trail weekend!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 There are twenty-four dragons hiding in shop and business windows just waiting to be found!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Simply write down the name of the shop or business next to the dragon you spot.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Pop in and grab your entry form from Christkindl or the Library.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁!

Twenty four of them have decided they NEED to be here for the Love Saundersfoot Cawl Trail weekend and they've sent a scout ahead today to sniff out the best spots to make up a Dragon Trail!

From dawn on Thursday 26th Feb, the dragons will be watching the village goings-on from shop and business windows all the way through to 1st March - so keep your eyes peeled!
